Dani Dyer reveals how footballer husband Jarrod Bowen is supporting her ahead of Strictly Come Dancing debut

As a devoted partner, I can share that I’m fortunate to have my Husband, Jarrod Bowen, who plays for West Ham United, supporting me as I prepare for the upcoming launch of Strictly Come Dancing.

This weekend on September 20, it was revealed that the previous contestant from Love Island, aged 29, is joining the cast for the upcoming season of Strictly Come Dancing.

She shared with the Mail, “Jarrod is thrilled for me and incredibly supportive. I feel incredibly fortunate to have such a supportive family. I asked him, ‘Could we dance together?’

‘I will definitely be getting him up in the kitchen, we’ve got to have a little dance.’

The couple tied the knot in a grand wedding, held in June, at the Langley Hotel in Buckinghamshire. She donned a breathtaking £10,000 off-the-shoulder dress by Suzanne Neville for the occasion.

Additionally, she shared some insights about the experience of dancing in front of her wedding attendees, which comprised of her twin daughters, Summer and Star, aged 2, along with her four-year-old son, Santiago, from a past relationship.

She mentioned that their first dance at the wedding wasn’t grandiose. With only two days remaining before the ceremony, she playfully suggested to her partner, “Honey, we need to give something a try.

‘And he was like: “I will just spin you around, pick you up and give you a big kiss at the end.”

To be honest, that first dance seemed endless. With all eyes on us as we two-stepped, we decided to continue dancing.

Dani said she was ‘so excited’ to be a part of the BBC dance competition.

She expressed: “I anticipated having an exceptional time, yet it turned out to be even more fantastic than I ever thought possible. It’s a mix of dance and excitement. Watching the pros today only fueled my excitement upon returning home.

The demanding preparation for the performance implies she’ll have to stay separated from her kids for extended stretches, yet Dani confessed that she couldn’t pass up on this extraordinary, one-time chance.

She mentioned that her oldest child, who is now four years old, has developed an affinity for dancing. In particular, he enjoys listening to Katy B. She noted that his musical tastes have evolved beyond Peppa Pig. Overall, she is confident that they will be incredibly proud of him during this moment, and encourages everyone to enjoy the occasion.

The reality TV star’s father, well-known actor Danny Dyer (aged 48), who is known for his roles in shows like Rivals, has also been providing significant encouragement as she readies herself for the ballroom.

As an over-the-moon fan, I’m bursting with excitement because he’s making his debut at my first live show! He’s known to get quite emotional about things, so don’t be surprised if he sheds a tear or two. His heart swells with pride, and it’s clear he’s a dedicated ‘dad’ in every sense of the word. He’s always encouraging me, telling me to “just go and enjoy it and smash it”. His enthusiasm for my success is palpable – he can hardly contain his excitement!

‘I said to him: “Do you want to come?” and he said: “Absolutely. I will come whenever I can.”‘

It’s been noted that Dani had prior dancing background before joining the well-known dance competition, which some people have expressed concerns about.

However, she has made it clear that her experience was only as a child.

In her own words, she shared that as a young child, she had a deep fondness for dancing. There was a small studio in the Eastern part of London known as Peggy O’Farrell’s that she often attended.

As a child, I found immense joy in engaging with various activities that sparked my curiosity. However, during the tumultuous teenage years, self-doubt and uncertainty often clouded my judgment, leading me to question if I truly had what it takes to continue pursuing these passions.

She concluded: ‘But I regretted it because I really love to dance, it was so fun.’
