HoYoverse is preparing to launch the update for Honkai: Star Rail, titled “Back to Earth in Evernight,” on September 24, 2025. This update brings a host of fresh content for Trailblazers, including the introduction of two new 5-star characters, further developments in Amphoreus’ storyline, and the arrival of tough new trials and events. What’s more, the character Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae will be available for free to all Trailblazers who have reached level 3, until the end of Version 4.0!

Main Story Progression: Amphoreus at a Crossroads

Following the disclosures about the concept known as Eternal Recurrence, character Amphoreus finds himself on the precipice of transformation. In this fresh Trailblaze Mission, Miss Evernight introduces an innovative perspective called “New Era,” which departs from traditional beliefs about salvation, in a desperate attempt to preserve her world.

As Dan Heng readies himself to visit Amphoreus once more, he is eager to explore his growing abilities that strengthen his connection with the Astral Express. This installment combines intense battles with emotional reconnections, steering Amphoreus’ destiny towards unexplored horizons.

New Playable Characters in HSR Version 3.6

Evernight

Finally, the veil is lifted. Stepping forward is Evernight, a magnificent 5-Star Ice unit walking the Path of Recollection. Often spoken of as March 7th’s forgotten past, Evernight uses her abilities to safeguard March’s tomorrow. Her combat style centers around memosprites, and her partner “Evey” significantly increases attack power through accumulated stacks of Memoria.

As more Remembrance allies join her team, her buffs become more powerful, transforming her into a formidable core for freeze-control setups. Her Ultimate skill plunges both herself and Evey into the “Darkest Riddle” state, boosting their damage output and speeding up Memoria accumulation for massive area-of-effect (AoE) explosions of damage.

Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae

Newly bearing the power of the Azure Dragon’s legacy, the 5-Star Terraforming Expert, Dan Heng, makes his appearance in the game as a free unit. This offer stands for all Trailblazers throughout this particular game version.

Through his powers, he can unleash the might of the Dragon Soul, enabling him to choose a Bond Companion, call upon a defensive draconic ally, and bestow potent shields across the entire team. When the Dragon Soul takes action, it not only removes negative effects but also bolsters the squad’s resilience.

When Dan Heng uses his ultimate ability, he significantly strengthens the Souldragon even more, allowing it to perform powerful subsequent attacks whose force increases with the strength of the bonded companion.

Stellar Reruns: The Herta and Anaxa Return

Regarding the 5-Star reruns, “The Herta” will be available in the first half, while “Anaxa” is scheduled for a comeback during special, time-limited banners.

New Events and Trials: High-Difficulty Awaits

The new gameplay addition in this patch is called “Anomaly Arbitration,” which is a challenging trial that occurs periodically and consists of three stages leading up to a final gauntlet. Pioneers need to deploy several teams to overcome these trials, obtaining the new item, Interference Key, as well as valuable rewards along the way.

In addition, lighter seasonal activities include the lively multiplayer mini-gaming festival known as “Colorful Chaos” and the entertaining side event called “Favorable Weather for Dromas Rearing,” which will captivate both dedicated collectors and casual players.
