The legendary actor, Sir David Jason, has announced his return to the classic British comedy series “Open All Hours” as part of its 50th anniversary celebrations.
U&Gold has revealed plans for a 90-minute special program named “Open All Hours: Inside Out“, offering an exclusive peek behind the scenes. This special will reflect on the achievements of the original series that aired from 1976 to 1985, as well as the subsequent sequel show, Still Open All Hours, which ran from 2014 to 2019.
In addition to the anniversary special, there will be an exclusive, freshly penned scene starring Sir David in the role of Granville. This creative piece was written by Roy Clarke, the show’s original writer and creator. The scene unfolds as Granville closes his Doncaster grocery store for the evening, reminiscing about the transformations that have occurred throughout the years.
