At the recent Walt Disney Marketing Expo held in Shanghai, it was apparently disclosed that a first glimpse of Robert Downey Jr. portraying Doctor Doom had been shown.
According to IGN, the exterior of the expo’s location unveiled promotional artwork for Doctor Doom in “Avengers: Doomsday”. Plus, it’s been reported on various platforms that merchandise for this film and “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” were being showcased. Additionally, social media posts revealed laser projections of Doom depicting close-ups, him sitting on his throne, and standing. Later, logos for teams such as the Avengers, Black Panther, Fantastic Four, and X-Men appeared.
The initial glimpse of Robert Downey Jr.’s portrayal as Doctor Doom was given through a post-credits scene in The Fantastic Four: First Steps. Although his face wasn’t visible to the camera, he was engaged in conversation with Reed and Sue’s child, Franklin.
