Ghosts’ Trevor Actor Revealed How He Stays Warm During Cold Scenes As A Character Who Never Wears Pants

There are numerous causes why people wear trousers, one of them being to keep warm. However, Trevor the ghost, who is eternally without pants, doesn’t have this advantage. As a result, the actor portraying him on ‘Ghosts’ must forgo pants during filming (at least when the cameras are rolling). But rest assured, Asher Grodman manages to stay cozy despite his character‘s pantless condition, and he recently shared how he accomplishes this.

The fifth season of “Ghosts” is slated for television broadcast in 2025, and the cast is currently filming in Montreal. Asher Grodman recently offered behind-the-scenes glimpses on TikTok, sharing how he maintains warmth during chilly shoots since his character doesn’t wear pants, alas, it’s not related to removable pants.

According to Grodman, temperatures ranged from 40 to 50 degrees outside in Canada, making it far from a comfortable warmth. In such cold conditions, wearing just the upper half of a suit would undoubtedly be chilly. Fortunately, his dresser came in handy as she discovered a method to keep his suit warm.

In the video, you’ll notice that the actor portraying Trevor stores his blow dryer inside the plastic bag containing his wardrobe. This clever trick ensures that his clothes remain warm when he needs to wear them, showcasing a creative solution to keeping cozy on set.

Besides this approach, it appears they might use portable heaters in their tents as well, which undoubtedly offers additional assistance.

According to Asher Grodman’s explanation, Trevor had no justification for his actions upon discovering about his daughter. I wholeheartedly concur with this viewpoint.

With the fifth season of the show underway, being part of a two-season renewal leading up to Season 6 on CBS, it’s likely that the creative team behind Ghosts has plenty of tricks up their sleeves to keep the cast entertained. Given that all the ghost characters wear identical costumes in every episode (with some occasional variations), the cast and crew must be well-versed in managing these outfits and ensuring the actors remain comfortable while wearing them.

It seems plausible that this heat management concept could work in reverse as well. While Grodman’s attire might not be suitable for cold climates, many ghost characters’ costumes are ill-equipped for warm weather. For instance, I can only speculate that Rebecca Wisocky, who brings Hetty to life, must have some form of cooling system prepared when she needs to wear that dress under the hot sun.

The sneak peek into the making of “Ghosts” was quite enjoyable and introduced a new perspective for me. Although I’m aware that Trevor doesn’t wear pants, which must be challenging during filming, I hadn’t given thought to how factors like weather affect him or how they manage things backstage to keep it warm and comfortable for him.

Now, I can’t wait to see this outdoor scene they were shooting!
