Michelle Keegan gets drenched by pouring rain as she is seen filming with Douglas Booth for the first time in their thrilling police drama The Blame

Michelle Keegan and Douglas Booth have recently been filmed together for the first time as they work on their upcoming ITV suspenseful drama titled “The Blame.

38-year-old actress returned to filming after giving birth to daughter Palma, soaking wet from heavy rain while shooting intense outdoor scenes at an off-license in Hertford.

In a struggle against the harsh environment, Michelle starred in a suspenseful drama while wearing a brown top and coordinating skirt. Alongside Douglas, they captured the nocturnal filming sessions.

In the heart of an intense conversation, a couple was noticed. Following this heated interaction, visibly distressed Michelle made her way back to her vehicle.

In this rephrased version, here’s how you can present the information: “Michelle has been cast as Detective Inspector Emma Crane for a six-episode series that Megan Gallagher both wrote and produced.” This keeps the original meaning intact while making it more readable and conversational.

The new series is based on the debut novel of the same name by Charlotte Langley.

The focus of the blame falls on the disturbing revelation of a teenage figure skater’s deceased body, which caused a profound ripple of shock throughout the town of Wakestead.

The play delves deep into hidden truths, doubt, and entrenched corruption lurking beneath the peaceful facade of this tranquil community.

The story starts unfolding as the lifeless body of teenager Sophie Madsen, a talented figure skater, is found in Wakestead, causing a wave of surprise and dismay throughout the town.

As Detective Inspector Crane (Keegan) and Detective Inspector Radley (Douglas Booth) delve further, a seemingly straightforward tragedy unravels into an intricate tangle of deceit, hidden bureaucratic manipulations, and ethical dilemmas.

In the face of time ticking away and trust disintegrating, Crane finds herself caught between solving a murder case and dealing with the dangerous internal dynamics within her team.

In addition to Michelle and Douglas, the renowned actor from Line of Duty, Nigel Boyle, will join the cast as the character Brett Shergill, a forensic technician.

Actor Joe Armstrong, known for his role as Robin Hood but also for acting alongside Michelle in Fool Me Once, has secured the part of a character named Kyle Fraiser, who is an ice skating coach in this new production.

In addition to them, we can expect actors such as Ian Hart from The Last Kingdom, Nathan Mensah, Matilda Freeman known for Passenger, Gavin Spokes who stars in House of the Dragon, Josh Bolt best known for Last Tango in Halifax, and Ceallach Spellman from White Lines to join us.

The six-part series, slated for production, was initiated by ITV’s Drama Director, Polly Hill. This series is being penned and overseen by Megan Gallagher, who is renowned for her work on All Her Fault and Wolf.

In discussing the project, Polly mentioned that “The Blame” is an exceptional new crime thriller, rich with unexpected plot twists and a captivating probe into police corruption, exploitation, and misogyny. As the story unfolds, it masterfully addresses these issues.

As a devoted follower, I can’t help but express my admiration for Megan, such a brilliant and witty wordsmith. With Michelle Keegan taking center stage and Nicola Shindler at the helm, this drama promises to be an unforgettable masterpiece that I feel honored to see on ITV.

Mary commented, “Telling Charlotte Langley’s story through the film was incredibly significant and timely. I feel immensely thankful for the chance to breathe life into her world and characters.

I’m thrilled to be working with Quay Street Productions for a second time. It’s just wonderful being part of this talented group once more; they really are the ideal team to work with.

As the executive producers at Quay Street Productions, Nicola Schindler and Richard Fee expressed their joy in collaborating with Megan once more.

She’s a remarkable author, crafting a gripping collection of stories that lead audiences on a winding path to uncover the truth about past events. This captivating series unfolds within the context of a modern-day police station teeming with secrets, deceit, and corruption.

We’re equally excited about the outstanding ensemble, spearheaded by Michelle and Douglas. Their performances promise to leave audiences guessing and questioning loyalties, especially since the topics portrayed in The Blame are striking in their contemporary relevance.

The upcoming seventh and final installment of Michelle’s comedy series Brassic on Sky will be available for viewing on screens towards the end of this month, marking the culmination of her work on the show.

The series that initially premiered in 2019 is scheduled to conclude on September 25th. Michelle completed filming for the show as early as May.

The final episode of Brassic’s sixth season concluded with an astonishing, physical cliffhanger, as the entire Hawley group found themselves in peril, hanging precariously over a deep chasm while aboard their bus.
