Mandy Moore, along with other prominent figures in Hollywood, have voiced their opinions following the tragic incident where Charlie Kirk, a conservative activist, was fatally shot during a lecture at Utah Valley University on Wednesday.
Actress from This Is Us, aged 41, who has consistently voiced her support for gun control legislation, took to her Instagram Stories to denounce acts of violence and encourage American citizens to acknowledge and address the threats posed by politically motivated aggression.
In a post he shared, Moore stated, “Political violence has no place in our conversation. It’s chilling to see such outcomes arising from today’s world, a cancer that must be stopped.” He was echoing the sentiments expressed by Moms Demand Action.
She mentioned that her thoughts kept returning to Kirk’s spouse, Erika Frantzve, and their two little kids. She described the event as deeply saddening.
Later, Moore highlighted that another school shooting occurred on the same day.
‘Bullets don’t know and don’t care if you are a Republican or Democrat,’ the shared post read.

Previously, Moore, a dedicated Democrat who supported Joe Biden, emphasized that celebrities possess an obligation to learn about the national issues at hand.
In her interview with Variety in 2020, she emphasized the importance of speaking up now more than ever before. She encouraged using all available platforms to engage in meaningful discussions, fostering dialogue not only with the global community but also within our own families, friends, and local communities.
She added, “We can’t become genuine agents of change and actively participate in the world unless we are prepared to step out of our comfort zones a bit and engage in potentially awkward discussions.
Regarding her potential involvement in politics, Moore clarified that she has no plans to seek public office.
She stated that she may not possess the necessary qualifications, yet she intends to persistently utilize her platform to champion reforms and support individuals whom she believes are highly capable of instigating meaningful change and positively impacting the world.
On a Wednesday, television personality Savannah Chrisley posted a heartfelt TikTok video where she wept, expressing gratitude for her husband Kirk’s unwavering support during their efforts to secure the release of her parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, who were incarcerated at the time.
Today has been quite challenging for the 28-year-old reality star, who shared, “The last two and a half years have been some of the most difficult I’ve faced, but in that time, I’ve encountered numerous wonderful individuals and made lifelong friends. Among those individuals who welcomed me into their circle was Charlie Kirk.
Instead of extending her condolences, she expressed heartfelt sympathy towards Erika, stating that she was among the “kindest, most affectionate individuals I’ve had the joy of encountering,” and further disclosed that they had planned to embark on a tour together in October, accompanying Kirk.

She wrote in the caption: “I’m speechless. I never thought I’d be typing this. Charlie Kirk has truly impacted my life… However, now I find myself saddened and at a loss for words.
As a lifestyle expert, I find myself resonating with the sentiments expressed by Josh Duhamel on Instagram. He poignantly noted the passing of Charlie Kirk, urging us all to remember that behind the political discourse lies a husband and two cherished children who are now bereft of his presence. In this troubling time, let’s join together in prayer, hoping for an end to such senseless violence.
In a heartfelt message shared on Instagram Stories, actress Candace Cameron Bure expressed her affection for someone named Charlie, saying: “You’re doing great, diligent and trustworthy servant.
In simpler, more conversational terms: Peter Weber, who was once on The Bachelor, posted a video of Charlie Kirk on his Instagram Stories and wrote: “I’m absolutely devastated. Thank you, @CharlieKirk1776, for the impact you had on this world. Rest in peace, legend.
Jessie James Decker, a singer, shared that she was deeply affected by the news, expressing her thoughts as, ‘I’m praying for Charlie’s spouse and kids. This is truly devastating. My emotions are churned up; I feel nauseous.’

Former star of Bachelor Nation, Ashley Iaconetti, shared her sorrow, expressing on social media, “My heart aches with sadness. Sending prayers to the Kirk family and everyone affected by violence this week.
Former Bachelor colleague Josh Murray characterized Kirk as “an honorable man, deeply devoted to his faith and a guardian of his family’s values and Christian beliefs.” In his heartfelt tribute, he prayed: “Dear God, shield Charlie and his loved ones during this difficult time.
Lindsay Arnold, a professional dancer from Dancing With the Stars, shared her sorrow, stating that she was deeply saddened and offering prayers to Kirk’s family in these challenging times.
Actor Chris Pratt, well-known for his roles in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Jurassic World, was among the many Hollywood figures expressing their thoughts on the recent assassination through social media.
The actor expressed on X that he is currently praying for Charlie Kirk, particularly for his family consisting of his wife and young kids, and for our nation. He believes we all need divine guidance during these times. May God provide assistance to us all.
As a devoted follower, I too would like to share that, upon learning about the unfortunate incident, my dear wife, Katherine Schwarzenegger, echoed her sentiments by re-sharing a message originating from her mom, Maria Shriver, on her social media platform.
Let’s all speak out against this act of hate, which is unacceptable no matter our political affiliations. It’s a vile and terrible act of violence that impacts everyone.

Bristol Palin, Sarah Palin’s daughter, reshared a post originally made by Turning Point USA, an organization that Kirk helped establish.
With deep regret, we announce the tragic death of Charles James Kirk, who was fatally shot during Turning Point USA’s “The American Comeback Tour” event at Utah Valley University on September 10, 2025. This unfortunate incident occurred on the same day.
I humbly pray that Charlie finds solace in the compassionate embrace of our gracious Savior, who willingly endured pain and sacrificed Himself for Charlie.
Jake Paul took to X and wrote: ‘Charlie Kirk got shot for telling the truth. That is literally it.
It’s challenging times, mentally taxing indeed. I believe we could use the comfort that faith brings now more than before. My thoughts go out to Charlie’s family, and also, I wish for those responsible to find peace.
Danica Patrick posted on her Instagram Stories an update from Upward News, confirming the passing of Kirk.

At the beginning of the text, a retired professional race car driver expressed his disbelief by saying: “It’s hard to believe. What on earth could be going wrong with people?
‘There’s a widespread outbreak of mental health issues. He’s deeply missed by his family, friends, and acquaintances whom we all hope find solace during this difficult time.’
Arnold Schwarzenegger likewise utilized platform Y to express a message to his supporters, and wrote: “My sympathies lie with the family of Charlie Kirk and with the United States.
Previously, the governor of California expressed, “Politics in our nation today resembles a debilitating illness with fatal consequences. Yet, disregard those who claim there’s no remedy for this condition.
A solution exists, and it lies within us. Let’s tap into our noblest qualities to step away from extreme positions. Even if we can’t find common ground on other issues, we must at least agree that resolving disagreements through violence is not an option.

‘This is a horrible tragedy. May it also be a moment for everyone to rediscover their humanity.’
Oh my gosh, I couldn’t help but share my thoughts when I saw Kirk’s latest Instagram post! It’s like…just no, man! Not this! Please don’t take it to that extreme – it’s just not right, and it feels wrong on so many levels. I mean, we’re all Americans here, aren’t we? Let’s remember the good and uphold the values we stand for. #WeAllAmericans
Dr. Phil posted a video on his account, announcing the tragic news that Charlie Kirk, a beloved husband, father, friend, and American citizen, was tragically taken from us.
‘His spirit, passion and message will live on. Prayers for his soul and his wife and children.’
Jimmy Kimmel, on Instagram, expressed a similar sentiment by saying, “Rather than pointing fingers in anger, might we not come together for a moment and simply acknowledge that it’s inhuman and abhorrent to take another person’s life with gunfire?
In a heartfelt statement, the late-night talk show host went on to express sympathy, saying, “Our family extends our hearts and love to the Kirk family and all the innocent victims – children, parents, everyone – who become casualties of needless gun tragedies.

On X, I couldn’t help but retweet Stephen King’s words: “The motive behind the man who fired at Charlie Kirk remains unclear, though it’s likely he’s not of sound mind. However, what is undeniably clear is yet another tragic instance of American gun violence.
In a quick response, Roseanne Barr expressed her sadness by writing, ‘I’m devastated,’ and then encouraged people to disregard negative influences, particularly online. She urged everyone to unite in love for Charlie instead of succumbing to anger and distress caused by these malevolent forces.
In simpler, conversational language, this could be rephrased as: “Kim Zolciak, a former star of Real Housewives Of Atlanta, posted a video on her Instagram Stories featuring her husband Kirk with their daughter. Accompanying the post, she wrote: ‘Truly heart-rending.’
Jennifer Affleck from the show “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” posted a picture of Kirk with his family, writing: “Returned home to find devastating news about him. Sending warmth, sympathy, and prayers to his spouse and little ones.
Clayton Echard, who is the lead on Season 26 of The Bachelor, recently posted a heartfelt tribute to Kirk on his Instagram Stories. In the message, he spoke highly about Kirk’s warm demeanor during a conversation they had on his podcast last year.
All day, I’ve been feeling uneasy about something. A year ago, Charlie invited me on his live podcast during the time of my paternity scandal. He gave me a platform to fight for justice when very few mainstream figures were willing to do so.”
In this paraphrased version, I attempted to make the sentence more natural and easy to read by reorganizing the sentence structure slightly and using simpler wording.
What particularly caught my attention was his habit of engaging with me during the commercial breaks, asking me questions about myself. He seemed sincerely interested in getting to know me, and gave off an authentic vibe of someone who simply wanted to assist whenever possible, appearing just like an ordinary individual eager to help.
Echard went on to say, “That’s the Charlie I encountered – the one who beamed with joy when talking about his family and greeted everyone present upon entering the room.” He added, “Many well-known individuals don’t behave that way, from my experience. It requires a special humility, which he had in abundance. May he find eternal peace.
President Donald Trump also responded to the death of Charlie Kirk with a post on Truth Social.

The well-known and almost mythical figure, Charlie Kirk, has passed away. There was no one who grasped or felt as deeply for the spirit of American youth like Charlie did.
Everyone adored and respected him immensely, including myself, but tragically, he’s gone now. My thoughts and condolences are with his beloved wife, Erika, and the entire family during this difficult time. We deeply miss and cherish Charlie.
At the White House, the U.S. flag is being flown at half-mast as a tribute to Kirk, and it will continue to do so until sunset on September 14th.
The FBI director, Kash Patel, announced that the individual suspected of today’s tragic shooting resulting in the death of Charlie Kirk has been apprehended.
I’d like to express my gratitude to the city and state officials in Utah, as well as our partners at the FBI, for collaborating with us. We will share updates as soon as possible.
Patel later followed up with a separate post to reveal that the person of interest was released.
After questioning by the authorities, the person being held is now free. Our ongoing investigation will proceed, and we remain committed to keeping you informed, ensuring a transparent process.
