10 Corso Como is making a splash during Milan Fashion Week with the debut of “Atlas,” Glen Luchford’s first solo exhibition showcasing his British fashion photography and portrait work. Designed by the artist himself, this exhibition delves into the depths of Luchford’s creative mind, a realm he refers to as an “explosion of visuals.” Here, you’ll find his most famous images alongside personal snapshots, outtakes, and a brand-new installation that has never been seen before.

As a fan, I’d like to share my excitement about “Atlas,” a collection curated by Alessio de’ Navasques that transports us back to the ’90s, a decade pivotal to his career. It showcases early shots for The Face, his iconic Miuccia Prada SS 1997 campaign, and more recent Gucci extravaganzas. Throughout Luchford’s editorial, commercial, and personal work, there’s a recurring dream of challenging traditional notions of beauty. He nudges, explores, and reconstructs these stereotypes with a tangible sense of the authentic and mundane.

Using various mediums such as large-scale prints, layered artworks, collages, and fashion films, the exhibit named Atlas seamlessly combines several decades of work into a continuous flow, maintaining its characteristic dynamism. Drawing inspiration from futurism, punk culture, the raw spirit of ’90s Britain, and the atmospheric grandeur of Martin Scorsese’s film Taxi Driver, Luchford creates a body of work that is fast-paced, vibrant, and difficult to categorize.

The exhibition will be on view in Milan from September 25 through November 23.
