National Television Awards 2025 worst dressed stars revealed: Tasha Ghouri, Olivia Hawkins, and Brooke Vincent lead the red carpet fashion flops

At the National Television Awards, which are often referred to as one of the most glamorous events in British TV, not all attendees managed to meet the high expectations set by their glamorous reputation during this year’s red carpet event.

Stars flocked to London for the annual ceremony, with Joel Dommett back to front the awards. 

For over two decades, starting from 1995, the National Television Awards (NTAs) have been distinctive due to their unique voting system, where the winners are chosen solely by television viewers instead of professionals within the industry.

Despite many guests radiating sophistication in stunning designer outfits and impeccable tailoring, a few notable figures instead opted for less conventional fashion decisions.

Tasha Ghouri landed on the night’s worst-dressed list as she raised eyebrows with her racy look.

On Love Island, the celebrity chose a transparent black corset dress layered with tulle that subtly revealed her lingerie, suggesting a daring fashion choice.

Additionally, Olivia Hawkins stumbled slightly from her target, appearing in a strapless, soft pink dress embellished with ostentatious jewelry adorning the back of the corset.

In a departure from her typical glamorous attire, Brooke Vincent opted for a more subdued look, wearing a gray suit that was accented with a slimming black leather scarf tied at the waist.

While the simple ensemble was inoffensive it was slightly drab for the glitzy occasion. 

In my own style, I chose to wear a rather casual, white frumpy blouse paired with roomy black, wide-leg trousers. On the other hand, I noticed Anna Whitehouse standing out beautifully in an unusual, one-shoulder purple gown adorned with satin flowers.

Christiaan de Vries drew attention wearing a striking pairing of a vibrant pink jacket and shorts, adorned with intriguing black leather cuffs around his legs.

Natasha Casey appeared as if she were made for the glamour of Saint-Tropez rather than a London gala, donning a shimmering salmon-pink satin gown beneath a vivid retro coat that was perhaps too ostentatious.

She matched it with oversized pastel pink platform sandals and safeguarded her vision in retro metal-framed shades, firmly establishing herself as a debatable fashion icon during the event.

The stars of British TV are out in force at London’s O2 Arena for the National TV Awards. 

For the second consecutive year, Sam Thompson and Pete Wicks will be hosting the grand entrance event on the red carpet.

At the awards ceremony, the exceptional television programming and talents beloved by the British audience will be recognized, as they’ve been casting their votes for their preferred shows and stars.

This is a milestone year for the NTAs, which are celebrating their 30th anniversary.

It’s generally anticipated that Ant and Dec will secure the TV Presenter award for an impressive 24th consecutive time.

During their 23rd straight victory last year, the Geordie duo acknowledged that at some point in the future, they are aware that they won’t be able to secure another win.

2021 competition is particularly tough as they will be contending with Claudia Winkleman, Gary Lineker, Alison Hammond, and Stacey Solomon.

Over the past year, television dramas have experienced significant growth, with Netflix’s Adolescence being a notable success that left a lasting impression.

IndieWire highly commended Owen Cooper’s portrayal of the child murderer, Jamie Miller, as equally captivating, moving, chilling, and poignant.

In the Best Drama category, it will go head-to-head with shows such as Code of Silence, Ludwig, MobLand, and Rivals.

As a devoted admirer of British television, I can’t help but feel the anticipation building for the upcoming Best Serial Drama award. Given the country’s reputation for captivating soap operas, this competition promises to be one of the most heated contests of the evening.

Viewership for series like Coronation Street and Emmerdale has skyrocketed since their move to ITVX in October, drawing unprecedented audiences.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I’d say this new feature gives fans the liberty to catch up with their beloved shows at a time that works best for them, rather than being bound by live TV schedules. This flexibility can even provide an edge when it comes to staying ahead in award-winning series like Casualty, EastEnders, and Hollyoaks.

Additionally, it’s worth mentioning that Gavin & Stacey, the much-anticipated series finale, was aired on Christmas Day 2024.

Competing in the comedy category are Brassic, Michael McIntyre’s 25th Anniversary Stand-Up Special, and Mrs Brown’s Boys.

The live-broadcast awards on ITV2 will be distributed among various entertainment performances, continuing until approximately 10:30 PM.
