Lizzie Cundy battles the tube strikes to make her way to the NTAs in a dazzling red dress while Clarkson’s farm star Harriet reveals her wardrobe meltdown

On Wednesday evening, I found myself amongst the notable figures braving the London Underground strikes to make it to the National Television Awards in the city center. (Lizzie Cundy was one of those stars.)

57-year-old television host, radiating charm in a striking red, strapless gown, casually showcased her creative commuting method by striking a pose aboard a train, disclosing an unconventional mode of reaching the destination.

Lizzie’s stunning dress was adorned with shimmering golden sequins, complemented by an elegant, voluminous hairstyle and attractive accessories.

In a message to her supporters, Lizzie expressed: ‘Regardless of whether there’s a strike or not… I’ll make it to the game. Here I come, award ceremonies waiting!’

Additionally, Harriet Cowan from Clarkson’s Farm found herself in a predicament, confessing that she was struggling with her outfit choices for the event.

This week, in a TikTok video, the television personality modestly confessed that she seldom socializes with famous individuals and felt apprehensive about selecting an outfit for the event, as she put it.

Harriet shared five distinct choices with her audience to assist them in selecting one for her, though she kept the outfit she’d wear on that evening a secret.

I couldn’t wait any longer as Vogue Williams revealed her outfit choice to her devoted followers on Instagram, offering a tantalizing preview of what was to come.

The popular television and radio personality dazzled in a deep-necked, black gown that had no back and sparkled with silver earrings of sophistication.

The stars of British TV are out in force at London’s O2 Arena for the National TV Awards.

The red carpet arrival is being hosted by Sam Thompson and Pete Wicks for a second year in a row.

At the awards ceremony, it is the British audience who decide which exceptional TV programs and talents they admire the most will be acknowledged and celebrated.

This is a milestone year for the NTAs, which are celebrating their 30th anniversary.

1995 saw the creation of these awards, designed to let the general public have a say in acknowledging outstanding TV talent. Previously, such honors were solely bestowed by professionals within the industry.

As a die-hard enthusiast, I can’t help but be thrilled about this grand event, often referred to as a “homage to the country’s cherished icons and programs.” Over the past few weeks, I’ve had the privilege of casting my vote for my favorite stars and shows through various channels – by post, over the phone, or even online. What an exciting journey it’s been!

Ant and Dec are expected to win the TV Presenter award for the 24th year in a row.

However, during their 23rd straight victory last year, they acknowledged that there would come a time when they wouldn’t emerge victorious.

This year’s competition finds us squared off against notable personalities such as Claudia Winkleman, Gary Lineker, Alison Hammond, and Stacey Solomon.

Besides the award they’ve received, Ant and Dec are also nominated for the “Best Reality TV” category with their show “I’m A Celebrity.

Again, this segment faces tough rivalry as it squares off with shows like Love Island, Race Across the World, and the rising sensation, The Traitors.

This past year was exceptional for television dramas, and among the outstanding shows that made a significant impact was “Adolescence” on Netflix.

In a highly laudatory review, IndieWire commended Owen Cooper for his acting as the child-killer character, Jamie Miller, stating that he delivered an equally intense mix of anger, emotion, horror, and tragic sorrow.

Other well-known series such as Code of Silence, Ludwig, MobLand, and Rivals will be competing against it in the Best Drama category.

As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but get excited about the evening’s lineup, especially since the UK is renowned for its captivating serial dramas. Tonight’s competition promises to be nothing short of fierce!

Viewership for programs like Coronation Street and Emmerdale has soared to all-time highs since their move to ITVX in October.

Instead, soap enthusiasts could watch their preferred shows whenever it was most convenient for them, not just when they were broadcast live on television.

Other nominees in this category include Casualty, EastEnders and Hollyoaks.

Moreover, it’s worth mentioning that after much anticipation, the beloved series Gavin & Stacey concluded its run with its final episode airing on Christmas 2024.

It is up against Brassic, Michael McIntyre’s 25th Year Stand-Up Special and Mrs Brown’s Boys in the comedy category.

The awards, currently airing live on ITV2, will be presented during the entertainment acts, with the presentations concluding by half ten.
