Here’s your exciting first look at the new Hunger Games show that’s ‘unlike anything you’ve seen’

Prior to releasing a fresh movie in 2026, “The Hunger Games” will make its debut on stage for the very first time, based on Suzanne Collins’ popular book series.

Currently, “The Hunger Games: On Stage” is being fine-tuned during rehearsals, preparing for its premiere at the brand-new Troubadour Warehouse Theatre in Canary Wharf on Monday, October 20th.

Check out the initial glimpses of Mia Carragher portraying Katniss Everdeen, along with other main cast members like Euan Garrett as Peeta Mellark, Marcellus Hill as Thresh and Aiya Agustin as Rue. You can find all 10 images capturing the rehearsals below.

In a recently unveiled video, Tamsin Carroll, who portrays Effie Trinket, expressed that if asked about current events, she would respond by saying “there’s a lot going on.” Previously and now again, she emphasized that the production is something extraordinary, something that likely no theater-goer has experienced or will experience in the future.

As a gamer, I’d put it like this: “Every game I play, I usually say ‘Wow, this team is impressive,’ but this time, they truly are! They don’t just fight or dance, they act, they sing too. Some are even soaring in the air on wires! It feels like everyone here is grateful and honored to be a part of this extraordinary experience.

Conor McPherson reworked the original book for the recently debuted play production, which is overseen by Matthew Dunster, who earlier described McPherson’s rendition as “tense” and “risky”.

He values Katniss Everdeen’s youthful perspective and places her in a prominent role, he said. “Our goal with The Hunger Games is to create an exceptionally captivating and dynamic production.

The Hunger Games: On Stage is currently booking until 15 February 2026.
