The Gathering, a six-part whodunit set in Liverpool, is trending on Netflix.
The show initially aired on Channel 4 has recently become one of the most popular TV programs in the U.K., ever since it started streaming on August 25th.
In summary, the storyline of “The Gathering” revolves around a violent incident involving a teenage girl at a party on an island during high tide. This drama takes place in Merseyside and follows a diverse group of adolescents who might have been responsible for the attack, as well as their parents, who raise questions about their innocence due to their questionable behavior.

In this production, Sadie Soverall and Eva Morgan are shown as gymnastics competitors, with Jessica and Kelly being their respective characters. Notably, Kelly experiences a mysterious assault. However, author Helen Walsh skillfully managed all the plotlines and accomplished the challenging task of making us equally invested in both the characters and the central mystery.
Nonetheless, offering a combined assessment for the show, The Observer expressed: “The storyline lacks coherence, and its ending seems contrived. Yet, it’s commendable how the young cast members portray deep socio-emotional interactions, evoking a genuine sense of authentic life experiences.
