Michael Caine is said to make another appearance in the limelight, taking on his role as a priest again for Vin Diesel’s upcoming sequel, titled The Last Witch Hunter 2.
The legendary 92-year-old figure from the Hollywood scene has chosen to emerge from retirement for a final assignment, having opted to bid farewell to the glamour and fame permanently in 2023.
In 2023, the actor, known for his roles in more than 180 films, officially announced his retirement, marking the end of an illustrious seven-decade career.
Michael explained his decision came after he concluded that ‘you don’t have leading men at 90.’
As a lifestyle aficionado, I’ve often hinted at my impending retirement, and now, with great pleasure, I can confirm that the day has finally arrived. I’m relishing this new phase of life with anticipation and enthusiasm.
Reflecting on my past success where I was the main character and received outstanding feedback, I wonder what I can accomplish next that will surpass that achievement.

As reported by Variety, the sequel for The Last Witch Hunter is swiftly moving forward in its development stages at Lionsgate and Diesel’s production company, One Race Films.
In 2015, I stepped into the shoes of Father Dolan, a devoted clergyman who stands alongside Kaulder, a mighty warrior, in a relentless battle against a sinister witch queen to halt a deadly plague.
Vin is already confirmed to return as lead character.
Daily Mail has contacted Michael’s representatives for comment.
As a devoted admirer, I can share that although Michael’s comeback role isn’t confirmed yet, I had the pleasure of seeing him sharing a meal with his long-standing buddy and previous on-screen partner, Vin, in London back in July.
For the first time after transitioning from a Zimmer frame to a wheelchair, Michael was spotted with an upbeat demeanor, with Vin gently guiding him in the wheelchair.
In an upcoming documentary, we’ll feature the legendary talent at lunchtime, which was captured on camera for the film. You might spot a tripod-mounted camera nearby the table during the meal.
