Rhian Sugden admits she’s gone into ‘full meltdown’ after her smear test found ‘abnormal cells’ as she awaits colposcopy: ‘I’m secretly freaking out’

Rhian Sugden has openly shared that she’s experiencing a complete breakdown following the discovery of abnormal cells during her most recent smear test.

The model known for her glamorous appearances, aged 38, shared that after undergoing a cervical cancer screening, she was alarmed upon learning her test results required additional examinations.

It’s time for her to undergo a colposcopy, a procedure that allows for a detailed examination of the cervix. If needed, a small tissue sample (biopsy) might be collected during this process.

Shared on Instagram on Tuesday evening, accompanied by her pet, she wrote: “Never too much info sharing – ‘Embrace the Smear’! I’ve been advocating for it because it takes just five minutes that might just save a life.

Today, however, I find myself eating a humble pie. This morning, I received the results from my recent smear test, and to my surprise, there were abnormal cells detected. Privately, I’m quite anxious about it.

Currently, I’m enrolled on a waitlist for a colposcopy consultation, which seems to be another long wait due to the NHS queues. Previously, during my twenties, I had this procedure and required treatment, and now that I’m back in a similar situation, it’s understandable that my mind is feeling quite anxious.

I truly understand the significance of smear tests – they help catch issues early on – yet, I’m currently feeling a bit overwhelmed and just needed to vent. If you’ve been delaying yours, take a moment to schedule it. It’s okay to be afraid, but we can still make the effort for our own well-being.

Cervical exams look for a virus known as Human Papillomavirus (HPV), which contributes to about 99% of cervical cancers.

Rhian has recently been showing off the results of her breast reduction surgery.  

She went from a 32HH to a 32E cup size after going under the knife in June.

Rhian revealed that she underwent the reduction after her F-cup boobs began making walking ‘unbearable’.

Displaying both her pre-surgery and post-surgery breast videos from last month, Rhian radiated remarkable self-assurance and joy about the transformation.

She expressed: ‘I adore my breasts so much. They are natural, having only undergone a reduction and lift performed skillfully by the impressive Dr. Hussain at Pall Mall Cosmetics ❤️’

In a video shared on social media prior to surgery, Rhiann disclosed that her nipples were actually 11cm below their normal position due to the effects of gravity after giving birth to her son George, who was one at the time.

As a conscientious adherent, I must admit I harbor some anxieties concerning that matter. The prospect of seeing them reduced in size, yet firmer and higher, is truly exhilarating. It’s a thrill beyond description.

Rhian added, “Currently, my bra size is a 34GG, and I can even go up to an H. It’s really challenging to find a good quality bra these days.

Due to my petite figure and generously proportioned chest, finding a bikini that fits comfortably has become quite challenging. The strain on my back from this size disparity is significant, often leaving me with a constant ache. To alleviate this discomfort, I find myself needing a massage about once a week.

When I swim a great deal, it seems that due to my large bust size, my back tends to arch upward as my breasts propel water forward.

I’m currently finding it tough to swim, let alone put on a swimsuit. Overcoming this challenge will truly revolutionize my life.

Even though Rhian was happier than ever with her transformed physique, she disclosed that she had been bombarded with criticism from internet trolls regarding her choice.

In her Instagram Story, she responded to her critics by sharing that she was indifferent about scars and found it puzzling that people felt compelled to comment on her choice.

In a playful remark, she noted that the remarks originated from men who would never have physical contact with or even be close to her chest area. As a result, she found these comments to be unimportant.

In a recent Instagram post, I shared that I’ve made significant progress in my swimming since my surgery, thanks to my newly streamlined physique which I believe is aiding me in the water.

Earlier, Rhian had mentioned that her husband Oliver Mellor felt disappointed after her breast reduction. Now, it seems he is drawing a comparison between Rhian and Pamela Anderson.

Upon speaking to The Sun after the operation, she grinned brightly, “Initially, Oliver felt a bit anxious due to his preference for larger breasts, and he had concerns about potential scarring.

However, he’s astonished at how great they’ve turned out. He’s delighted with them. He even thinks I resemble Pamela Anderson once more due to their uplifted appearance.
