It seems that Michael Caine may be returning from his retirement to star in the sequel of “The Last Witch Hunter” produced by Lionsgate, working alongside Vin Diesel.
In the process of being crafted is an unanticipated continuation, where Vin Diesel once more takes on the character of the eternal witch-hunter Kaulder, while Sam Haze will again embody Dolan, the 36th.
According to Deadline’s latest report, a deal has not been completed for the highly popular movie, which Lionsgate refers to as a beloved worldwide hit.

In 2015, the movie “The Last Witch Hunter” came out, where we see Kaulder trying to prevent the Queen Witch from bringing about a disastrous plague in New York City by resurrecting.
Generating approximately $130 million in global ticket sales upon its debut, the movie has since garnered popularity among streaming viewers and currently ranks among the top five most-watched films on Netflix.

Adam Fogelson, head of Lionsgate’s Motion Picture Group, commented on the sequel: “The Last Witch Hunter” has gained popularity worldwide since its initial cinema release, with viewers still finding and revisiting it across various platforms for the past ten years.
It’s evident that the lasting excitement suggests people want additional tales from this realm. For quite some time, Vin and I have collaborated, and he truly excels within our field.
I’m really looking forward to working with him again, since he’s coming back to his renowned role. I’m also eager because recent improvements in movie-making tech let us affordably create a sequel that’s even more daringly ambitious.

Back in 2023, Cain announced his retirement from acting following the release of The Great Escaper.
In the current moment, he declared, “For years, I’ve been mentioning retirement; however, here it is! I’ve reached a point where I’ve starred in roles with outstanding acclaim. I can’t think of any accomplishment that could surpass this, so I believe it’s time to hang up my acting hat.
I’ll likely only land roles for senior citizens now, perhaps 90-year-olds or even 85. They won’t be the main characters. The leading roles are reserved for youthful and attractive individuals. So I figured it’s time to move on with all this.
