The Paper star Ramona Young’s real age is revealed amid claims she is 27

It appears that Ramona Young, an actress featured in the fresh installment of The Office’s successor, The Paper (a comedy series on Peacock), has apparently been misrepresented with an inaccurate age online.

The character portraying a young staff member at a financially strained newspaper in Toledo, Ohio, is reportedly 27 years old according to her IMDb profile and online Wikipedia biography.

It appears that public records, obtained by The US Sun, allegedly suggest that the actress may actually be six years older than the age listed on the internet.

Based on available records, Young was born in August 1992, indicating that she will be 33 years old by September 2025.

By contrast, her IMDb biography claims that she was born on May 23, 1998.

The Daily Mail has reached out to Young’s representative but hasn’t yet received a response.

It was noted that spectators had doubts about Young’s actual age following her notable debut in the highly praised Netflix teen drama “Never Have I Ever,” where she portrayed Eleanor Wong, a high school student.

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve noticed a buzzing conversation among fans regarding an intriguing speculation. Last week, it seemed to have kicked off on a Reddit post, where a blind item suggested that a 30-something actor in a popular Netflix series might have been subtly manipulating their age for the opportunity to portray high school-aged characters.

According to a comment, Ramona Young, who appears in Never Have I Ever, is roughly 32-33 years old currently. Online sources list her as having a stage age.

They commented, “She appears wonderful to me, yet when her show first aired, I found myself questioning if she looked like she was around 22 years old.

The statement you mentioned seems to be clarifying the age of a person in 2010. ‘In response, I can confirm that what was stated is accurate because I knew her personally back in 2010 at Cal State LA. At that time, she was not 12; instead, she was 17 years old.’

Another fan claimed rumors of Young’s true age had been swirling in recent years.

They claimed that similar rumors about Ramona had reached them too, yet they could not confirm it. It was common knowledge that Ramona was significantly older than Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, the lead of Never Have I Ever.

Ramakrishnan is 23, making her a full decade younger than her costar’s newly reported age.

Despite The Paper being Young’s most prominent work thus far, this up-and-coming talent has already accumulated a notable list of accomplishments.

Apart from being part of the principal cast in Never Have I Ever, she also starred as Mona Wu on DC’s Legends of Tomorrow from the years 2018 to 2020.

Previously, she portrayed Ramona in the zombie comedy series “Santa Clarita Diet,” which featured Drew Barrymore and Timothy Olyphant as its lead stars.

She previously appeared in 16 episodes of the Syfy zombie series Z Nation beginning in 2016.

In simpler terms, Young first appeared in a series back in 2012, which means she was approximately 14 years old at the time, based on her age as listed on IMDb. However, recent reports suggest that she might have been about 20 years old when she made her debut.

In her latest show, titled “The Paper,” she portrays Nicole Lee, a character who manages the circulation department at the struggling Toledo Truth-Teller, a once prosperous local newspaper.

With the arrival of its fresh editor-in-chief, Ned Sampson (played by Domhnall Gleeson), the publication is granted a second chance, as he strives to steer it away from its declining trajectory.

In a more simplified manner, the story portrays Young being persistently chased by an advertisement executive named Detrick Moore, played by Melvin Gregg. At first, she attempts to resist his advances, but finds no success.

The article showcases a strained relationship with Dunder Mifflin, the paper business from the popular NBC sitcom The Office.

Back in the day, I simply couldn’t get enough of that brilliant show, “The Office,” starring none other than the hilarious Steve Carrell! You see, it was an ingeniously crafted American adaptation of a classic British series, initially conceived by the genius duo – Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant.

In other words, although The Paper isn’t heavily connected to The Office at this point, it does introduce a familiar face – Oscar Martinez, previously an accountant at Dunder Mifflin, portrayed by actor Oscar Nunez.

I’m quite thrilled to mention that my latest project subtly nods towards some beloved characters from The Office, hinting at potential cameos by my former office mates in the future episodes.
