Rick Davies, who was a founding member of the 70s rock band Supertramp, has died at age 81.
After fighting cancer, the songwriter passed away at his residence on Long Island last Friday.
In a statement, the band shared their regretful news about Rick’s passing, expressing sympathy towards his widow, Sue.
Rick co-founded Supertramp in 1970 alongside fellow singer-songwriter Roger Hodgson.
Later on, they recruited Dougie Thomson, Bob Siebenberg, and John Helliwell as bandmates, forming a group that would play together from 1973 until 1983.
