Beyonce and husband Jay Z are ‘set to splash out on a spectacular rural estate in The Cotswolds’ as they become the latest US stars to set up home in the rural British hotspot

In the picturesque Cotswolds, it’s not uncommon to find famous personalities like the Beckham family and Ellen DeGeneres calling this rural area their home.

It is currently believed that Beyoncé and Jay-Z are nearing the completion of their land acquisition-a 58-acre property located near Wigginton’s outskirts. They have secured the necessary permissions to construct an impressive country retreat on this land.

Should the pair finalize their agreement, they’ll find themselves just a stone’s throw distant from Great Tew – a place that’s home to several prominent figures already.

As an ardent admirer, I’d rephrase it like this: “Being a local resident nestled near the now-shuttered The White Swan Inn, I’ve found myself right in the midst of quite a stir. Gerry Barrago, our esteemed 77-year-old neighbor, put it rather bluntly when he declared, ‘ frankly, I couldn’t care less.’

He mentioned that his wife often observes Beyoncé and Jay-Z regularly driving into Burford Garden Centre in their timeless Range Rovers.

Whenever someone brings attention to a supposed celebrity to my spouse, her initial response is to inquire about their identity. To be honest, there are some of these so-called famous personalities whom I haven’t even come across before.

Since Wigginton’s favorite hangout closed down, Beyoncé and Jay-Z might decide to check out the local pub in Great Tew instead, which is known as Falkland Arms.

A worker mentioned that David Beckham had only been to the pub on one occasion while she’d been employed there, and expressed concern that Beyoncé’s visit might draw in undesirable patrons.

She shared with The Times, “We cherish our local customers and aim to maintain our current clientele, rather than change it due to the arrival of the couple.

As a long-time resident of Wigginton myself, I’ve heard similar apprehensions echoed by other locals. For instance, Thomas Winter, a fellow 30-year-old resident, expresses his worry that these changes might restrict his chances of buying a home and climbing the housing ladder.

During his recent trip to The Cotswolds, the U.S. Vice President, JD Vance, noted a shift in the character or spirit of the region as a result of an increasing number of London residents purchasing properties there, along with high-profile individuals.

Another labeled it ‘madness,’ while a local buzzed with excitement, expressing their eagerness to witness Beyoncé performing at the village fair.

This past summer, Beyoncé and Jay-Z went on a helicopter tour to see a magnificent estate in the popular spot of Oxfordshire.

The designs apparently demonstrate that the proposed mansion might include seven bedrooms, nine bathrooms, and spaces offering views of a lake.

As a dedicated follower engaged in the real estate market, I’ve been privy to some intriguing insights regarding the 58-acre property I’m handling. Initially valued at approximately £7.5 million, Owain Jones, my trusted colleague and property consultant, predicts that once developed, this land could soar past the £18 million mark.

He stated that referring to the Cotswolds as ‘the Hamptons of the UK’ implies a certain level of exclusivity. This region encompasses the sophisticated ambiance of establishments like Soho Farmhouse and Estelle Manor, which are exclusive members’ clubs nearby. Moreover, it offers products from Daylesford Farm, promoting an organic lifestyle. Essentially, this area places you right in the midst of the Cotswolds’ most elite social circle.

In simpler terms, people often refer to those who visit The Cotswolds as the “Chipping Norton Set.” However, real estate agents claim that due to popular celebrities and influential figures moving there, The Cotswolds has recently gained a reputation for being the trendiest rural location.

Daily Mail has contacted representatives for Beyonce and Jay-Z for comment.

Previously, a source had shared with The Daily Mail’s Eden Confidential that Beyoncé and Jay-Z express a strong interest in settling down permanently in the United Kingdom.

A pal of the duo mentioned, “The wildfires have provided them with a decent excuse to explore locations beyond Los Angeles for establishing new centers instead.

Though they are permanently stationed in Los Angeles, plans for a UK visit are being considered. Beyoncé holds a fond affection for the UK due to their consistent backing of her endeavors.

The friends mention that the couple have shifted their focus towards the Cotswolds, drawn by the available land and room. They have decided to settle there.

As a devoted admirer, I can tell you that they’re on the hunt for the perfect property – a place that truly feels like home. They’re not rushing into anything; instead, they’re carefully considering each option. While they ponder their choice, they’re exploring temporary agreements to keep their options open.

Back in 2017, following the birth of their twins, Rumi and Sir, music power couple Beyoncé and Jay-Z relocated into a stunning 12,000 square foot property in Malibu.

For $400,000 per month (or approximately £300,000), they acquired La Villa Contenta, which boasted a cinema, gym, wine cellar, and breathtaking ocean vistas.

In the late summer season, the family, which includes an eldest child named Blue Ivy (aged 13), made a purchase worth $88 million (approximately £66 million) for a luxurious mansion in Bel Air, California. Spanning over 30,000 sq ft, this expansive residence boasts eight bedrooms, eleven bathrooms, four separate swimming pools, and a spacious 15-car garage.

According to a friend, Beyoncé prefers touring situations that feel as ordinary as possible for her children, hence she finds staying in hotels less suitable.

2023 saw a unique twist in real estate as Beyonce and Jay-Z purchased an extraordinary 40,000 square foot mansion in Bel Air for an impressive $200 million (approximately £150 million). Despite holding on to their previous property, this sale broke the record for California’s most expensive house.

Beyoncé, like Ellen before her, is considering a move from the United States to the tranquil English countryside. This shift could be a response to finding respite from the challenges posed by Donald Trump’s presidency in the U.S.
