Paranormal expert who toured with Annabelle doll died of natural causes, coroner says

The reason behind the passing of Dan Rivera, a ghost hunter, who encountered difficulties while interacting with the purportedly haunted Annabelle doll during a visit to Pennsylvania this year, has now been disclosed.

The coroner of Adams County, Francis Dutrow, announced on Thursday that Rivera passed away in July due to heart-related problems. Several news sources report that his death has been classified as natural.

Regarding Mr. Rivera, it’s important to note that he had previous heart problems, and these matched the results found,” stated Dutrow.

The Annabelle doll, famous for its appearances in multiple “Conjuring” movie series installments, wasn’t found in the hotel room where Rivera passed away at 54 years old.

On July 14, the New England Society for Psychic Research confirmed the passing of Dan Rivera, a few days after footage emerged showing Rivera and a team member carrying a doll into the Gettysburg Orphanage, ahead of an upcoming event. The society expressed their grief and ongoing shock at this sad news on Facebook, stating that Dan was deeply committed to sharing his paranormal experiences and educating others about the supernatural.

Not only did his warmth and fervor move everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him, but we also want to express our gratitude for your backing and sympathetic sentiments as we navigate through these challenging moments.

‘The Conjuring: Last Rites’ puts a tombstone on a slackening spook series

A brief reflection on the chilling series within the Demonic franchise, featuring Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga. The lasting impressions it creates might be best enjoyed as they are, without delving further into extended recollections.

Reflecting back, I fondly recall Dan – a passionate educator and connector extraordinaire whose love for his family was unparalleled. As part of the New England Society for Physics Research, we deeply appreciated these qualities and acknowledged them in a longer statement. Regarding our scheduled events this year, we’ve decided to take a new direction. In simpler terms, we won’t be proceeding with the events as originally planned.

After the passing of Rivera, his associates announced on a TikTok post on a Friday that they plan to carry on with the tour as a tribute to him. Ryan Buell, a ghost hunter, titled his video, “We’ll complete what you began.

Dan, we’re all here together, and it would be a delight for us to carry on from where you left off,” Buell expresses. Later in the video, other members of Rivera’s group join in, mentioning their intention to complete the tour as a tribute to the renowned paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren, who served as inspiration for ‘The Conjuring’ series.

This coming weekend, we’ll carry on with our tour at the Maine Paranormal Convention, located in Augusta, Maine. The tour will wrap up in October at the ScareFest Weekend in Lexington, Kentucky.

By happenstance, “The Conjuring: Last Rites,” the concluding chapter of the “Conjuring” series, was released in cinemas this past Friday. In this movie, Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga take on the leading roles.
