What to Read Next
For season three, one of the new stars of “Being Human” joins an already illustrious ensemble, alongside Bradley Whitford. Both are set to bring additional excitement to the show.
In the upcoming series, Whitford takes on the role of Todd Penn, husband to Vice President Grace Penn portrayed by Alison Janney. This is a screen reunion for them, as they previously acted together in the series “The West Wing.
Once more, Keri Russell and Rufus Sewell take the lead roles as Kate and Hal Wyler, with Rory Kinnear reprising his role as Prime Minister Nicol Trowbridge, alongside David Gyasi as Foreign Secretary Austin Dennison, in a continuation from the series Bank of Dave.
In the third season, we’ll find ourselves not too far removed from the thrilling conclusion of the previous one, as Kate and Hal team up to help Kate ascend to the position of Vice President.
Kate’s relationship with Vice President Grace Penn is currently strained due to Kate’s candidacy for Penn’s position and recent allegations against Penn of planning a terrorist act. Interestingly, however, Kate appears to be developing a rapport with Todd (Whitford), Penn’s husband, this season.
Her friendship with the Foreign Secretary, Gyasi (Austin Dennison), continues to become “progressively complex.
Viewers will be thrilled to notice the return of familiar faces, with Ali Ahn stepping once more into the character of Eidra Graham and Nana Mensah coming back as White House chief of staff Billie Appiah.
The television series titled The Diplomat has received notable acclaim from critics, with season two being exceptionally well-received. It boasts a Rotten Tomatoes rating of 96%. The Guardian praised the show as an exemplary demonstration of storytelling prowess, while Rolling Stone commended its talented cast, engaging dialogue, and innovative plotline.
