As a dedicated gamer, I’ve gone through all the related documents and found out that, based on Riot Games’ findings, there was no breach of the Riot Games Esports Global Code of Conduct by BBL PROFEK.
Prior to the VCT EMEA: Stage 2 Lower Bracket Final, an old video of player Dawid “PROFEK” Święć from BBL Esports resurfaced online, causing controversy due to its inappropriate content. The footage shows PROFEK using disrespectful language. Upon investigation, Riot Games decided that no penalties would be imposed on PROFEK.
BBL Esports x GIANTX
During the build-up for their crucial game leading to the VCT EMEA: Stage 2 Grand Finals and VALORANT Champions 2025, an old clip of BBL PROFEK’s controversial behavior surfaced on the internet. Back in 2022, this controller player was found using offensive language during a VALORANT ranked game.
Following widespread online interest, the VCT EMEA team initiated a thorough examination of the relevant materials. Despite approval for the player to compete, BBL unfortunately suffered a 3-0 defeat at the hands of GIANTX.
BBL PROFEK: “I really love this community, and I want to apologize for the things I said in a ranked game when I was 17.”
In a quick response, the Polish player logged on to express his apologies for his past comments. BBL PROFEK expressed regret over unintentionally causing pain, and strongly denounced any use of racist language, regardless of the circumstances. He also apologized to Atatürk, a significant figure in the establishment of the Republic of Turkey, who was referenced in a 2022 video. “My words from years ago are not reflective of my current beliefs, and I deeply regret and am ashamed of my actions,” he admitted.
I’m deeply grateful to each and every BBL fan for the wonderful support you’ve shown me. It was truly exhilarating to approach every game with such positive energy. To those I may have inadvertently offended, please accept my sincere apologies for any mistakes made; I humbly seek your forgiveness.
BBL PROFEK

No disciplinary action was applied
On September 4th, the athlete publicly revealed the final results of the probe regarding his actions. Since this incident transpired during his participation in Riot Games’ VALORANT esports scene, which is categorized as semi-professional or professional, it does not align with the “remit of Riot Games Esports Global Code of Conduct.

In a recent statement, the player expressed gratitude towards his supporters for their unwavering loyalty and offered another sincere apology for his past indiscretions. Over the course of four years, he has matured significantly and acknowledged his regrettable errors. He firmly stands by this sentiment. Additionally, he wanted to extend thanks to his friends and BBL fans who have continued to support him throughout this challenging situation.
After BBL placed third in VCT EMEA: Stage 2, PROFEK assessed his performance this year, acknowledging that the recent controversy had an impact on him. He stated, “The feelings from that incident made it challenging for me to deliver and back my team as I usually do in every match for BBL.
