Aniplex Inc. has initiated a soft release for their horror strategy game titled “Resident Evil Survival Unit,” now playable on Android and iOS in countries including Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, and the Philippines. Originally unveiled in July, this Resident Evil-inspired title also started pre-registration at the same time.

In this game, you’ll assume the role of a survivor responsible for constructing a base, gathering resources, and expanding your power to create a path to survive.

The narrative opens with a puzzling disease sweeping through the city, causing havoc as it goes. You, along with a handful of others who managed to escape the contagion, seek refuge in an abandoned manor. Your mission is to revitalize the mansion’s amenities, oversee resources, fortify defenses, and conduct research – all in the pursuit of staying alive.

The thrill for me comes from the opportunity to employ iconic figures such as Leon S. Kennedy, Claire Redfield, and Jill Valentine. Each character has distinct abilities that can be utilized strategically in combat situations, and during your journey, you’ll encounter various survivor groups, allowing you to decide whether to join forces or face off against them.

This game appears incredibly intriguing, offering a blend of renowned characters, tactical combat options, an unprecedented narrative, resource control, weapon vendors, real-time defense tasks, fearsome beasts, and much more. It also introduces a unique creature named Mortem, beautifully illustrated by the legendary artist Yoshitaka Amano.
