On Tuesday, Jason Manford addressed allegations that he frequently reuses his humor by humorously discussing the nature of time.
The comic, aged 44, countered a viewer’s criticism labeling him as “just one act” following their encounter with him in Preston several years prior.
On Instagram, he posted a screengrab of the comment along with a concise description of it.
Glyn, the spectator, remarked: “Three years after I watched you perform in Preston, it seemed like you were telling the same jokes on TV. It made me think of a one-trick pony.
As your devoted fan, I might respond by saying, “Hey Glyn! Just wanted to clarify something for you. When you watched me perform live, it was indeed happening in real time. But when you see me on television, it’s a recording of a performance that I did earlier – essentially, it’s captured ‘in the past.’ Hope this clears things up!
‘Please let me know if you have any other questions about how time works.’

He titled his post: “Feel free to reach out if you need assistance or have any queries. Don’t hesitate, show courage like Glyn and voice your concerns!
Last month, Jason was set to perform during his A Manford All Seasons tour in Hertfordshire, but unfortunately, due to his illness, the show had to be postponed.
Following the cancellation of an additional three performances, he later disclosed that he had been diagnosed with appendicitis, a condition characterized by inflammation of the appendix leading to intense abdominal pain, usually requiring surgical removal of the organ.
After a harrowing 24-hour period, it was discovered that Jason needed surgery, as his health issues started while he was cruising along the highway at 70 miles per hour.
After the successful appendix surgery, Jason later posted: ‘Everything’s good now as I recuperate, sipping on Vimto which is available in all Manchester hospitals.’
experienced a rather distressing and intensely painful 24-hour period, yet I’m grateful for the remarkable care provided by our National Health Service (NHS) and my extraordinary mother, who has been an angel in times of health emergencies!
‘My advice would be to not get Appendicitis whilst driving at 70mph on the motorway!’
Jason expressed his sadness about missing his forthcoming performances, but still appreciated the fan’s support.

He expressed: “To be honest, I’m really disappointed that I needed to shift the dates this weekend, and I apologize for giving short notice to numerous individuals residing in St Albans, Oxford, Lincoln, Skegness, and at Kendall Calling.
It seemed like I might manage with antibiotics and postponing surgery to allow me to continue with my performances. However, I was cautioned against doing so.
Unfortunately, that means I won’t be able to catch a flight to Portugal on Monday and join my family for our holiday. Life can be challenging like that sometimes. Thank you so much for your thoughtful ‘Get Well Soon’ messages.
Earlier, it was confirmed that Jason would not be performing in Hertfordshire due to ill health.
Apologies for any inconvenience, but we have unfortunate news about tonight’s show of ‘A Manford All Seasons’ at the Alban Arena. Due to Jason Manford feeling under the weather, the performance has been unexpectedly cancelled and will be rescheduled to Monday, October 20th, 2025.
‘Thank you for understanding, we apologise for any inconvenience caused.’
In an additional update given to X, it was announced that the performances in Oxford, Lincoln, and Skegness, originally scheduled for this year, have been cancelled and are now set to take place later in 2025 and into early 2026.
I’m sorry to share this news, but unfortunately, the scheduled shows of ‘A Manford All Seasons’ have had to be abruptly cancelled because Jason Manford is not feeling well.
Here are the venues where our events will take place: Oxford – New Theatre, Lincoln – The Engine Shed, Skegness – Embassy Hall. Please accept our apologies in advance if any inconvenience occurs.
