Ironheart Star on if He’ll Return To Star Wars as Han Solo

Despite the fact that it’s been over seven years since fans last saw Alden Ehrenreich portray a young Han Solo in “Solo: A Star Wars Story,” Ehrenreich himself has expressed a willingness to reprise the role at some point in the future, provided that there’s a suitable opportunity and a particular condition is met. In a recent interview, he made it clear that he remains open to stepping back into the iconic boots of Han Solo once more.

During a conversation with Robert Brian Taylor at Collider, Ehrenreich mentioned his interest in revisiting the Star Wars universe as Han Solo, as long as he’s given the opportunity to embody the “correct” or preferred version of the character.

The actor from Ironheart expressed that if he were to come back to Star Wars, it would need to be the absolutely perfect iteration of the role.

Back in 2018, I slid into the coveted role of Han Solo for Solo: A Star Wars Story – the film that unveiled our beloved character’s backstory. Though my portrayal garnered appreciation from fans, it wasn’t enough to save Disney and Lucasfilm from a financial flop. During its cinematic run, it managed to rake in a total of $393 million worldwide – not quite the blockbuster success we were hoping for.

35-year-old actor speaking about the challenging production of the Han Solo Star Wars spin-off: “Making a movie is always stressful, but as an actor, you can draw on that energy. Sometimes, that energy is stress itself, and characters often experience stress. There aren’t many characters who are carefree all the time. So, in a way, it can be beneficial. It’s important that it’s a setting where everyone feels secure.

Even though Solo didn’t perform well at the box office, Ehrenreich pointed out that it opened doors for him to secure important roles following its release. “It paved the way for many opportunities I have now,” he stated, followed by, “It was an excellent stepping stone, and there were some fantastic moments during its run. And I’m content with where my career is at present.
