Strictly bosses ‘concerned that some of the line-up may have turned to weight loss jabs ahead of new series as they to fear that stars won’t make it through gruelling competition’

Concerns about possible use of weight-loss injections by certain celebrities participating in this season’s Strictly Come Dancing has allegedly sparked a high level of anxiety within the production team.

2025’s show will debut on September 20, featuring a fresh cast of celebrities paired with professional dancers, ready to showcase their moves on the dance floor.

It’s been announced that certain celebrities might have resorted to or may still be employing injectable weight-loss medications like Ozempic, Mounjaro, and Wegovy, for quick weight loss prior to their upcoming shows.

These particular medications, referred to as GLP-1 agonists, were originally designed to manage diabetes. They function by imitating a specific hormone, thereby inducing feelings of satiety in the users.

Consequently, it’s reported that show bosses have expressed worries that if celebrities are taking this medication, they might not consume sufficient food, potentially falling short of the necessary calories for handling the strenuous and demanding competition.

According to The Sun, there’s a lot of chatter backstage about which celebrities might be receiving certain injections, and even the BBC is unaware because contestants aren’t required to disclose their medications.

As a lifestyle connoisseur, I can assure you that when it comes to the beloved BBC shows, the welfare of its participants is always a top priority. We meticulously monitor the health of all contestants throughout their time on the show, and should any signs of illness or physical struggle emerge, prompt action is taken immediately. The well-being of our community is never compromised.

Apart from having no ability to interfere whatsoever, it’s not only due to the fact that the stars don’t have to disclose information, but also because the drugs they use are personal choices, legally allowed for their consumption.

As an utterly dedicated fan, I can’t help but marvel at how Strictly stars magically seem to slim down! It’s like they’ve unlocked some secret formula. Five days a week, they put themselves through rigorous exercise and demanding rehearsals – sometimes clocking up to twelve hours daily! By the end, numerous celebrities boast about shedding multiple pounds, proving that hard work truly pays off on this show.

An alternate report suggested that stars might have been getting vaccinated prior to the event because of concerns over their initial appearance, particularly given the iconic form-fitting and revealing costumes they often wear.

Some individuals might already be aware that they’re among those selected, possibly even starting their preparations several months prior. They will likely strive hard to appear their best, ensuring they maintain this level of appearance until the training commences.

Daily Mail has contacted Strictly Come Dancing for comment.

Approximately 500,000 NHS patients and around 15 million U.S. patients are estimated to have adopted weight-loss injections as part of their weight loss journey. These injections can potentially assist individuals in shedding up to 20% of their body weight within a short period of time.

Although the private usage of these items is reportedly more prevalent, the escalating costs are predicted not to be as financially burdening for celebrities like those on Strictly Come Dancing.

This year’s lineup features Dani Dyer from Love Island, La Voix, a contestant on Drag Race UK, Olympian Harry Aikines-Aryeetey, Balvinder Sopal from EastEnders, footballer Karen Carney of the Lionesses, Ross King who reports for Lorraine’s Showbiz segment, Thomas Skinner known for The Apprentice, and influencer Ellie Goldstein.

This month, Rugby player Chris Robshow, television actor Stefan Dennis from Neighbours, YouTube personality George Clarke, actress Alex Kingston known for Doctor Who, actors Lewis Cope from Emmerdale and Vicky Pattison from Geordie Shore, as well as sportsman Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink will all be dancing in the ballroom.

After a new controversy erupted, involving a male star’s arrest on suspicion of rape, Strictly finds itself once again in the spotlight.

According to reports, the man under investigation is currently being questioned by authorities regarding accusations of sharing private, intimate images without consent.

Reports from within the BBC suggest that the accusations do not pertain to anyone involved in this year’s season, so the show is expected to proceed as planned with no changes or interruptions.

The Met Police said the alleged rape victim is being supported by specialist officers.

On August 22nd, a man was taken into custody by the NYPD under suspicion for both rape and unauthorized distribution of intimate images. (The Daily Mail was informed by an NYPD spokesperson.)

We’re collaborating with Hertfordshire Constabulary on an ongoing probe, still in its preliminary phase. If you have any pertinent information, please share it with us.

The arrest was made based on a third party’s accusations about sexually and drug-related crimes. Investigations continue at this time.

A representative from the BBC stated that it’s inappropriate for them to make comments about a current police investigation.

There is nothing to suggest this is related to the current Strictly production.

The broadcasting company is currently investigating their popular family program, following accusations that two of its prominent actors allegedly consumed cocaine.

Among those under investigation for drug-related issues, there were suspicions that one of them may have been consuming alcohol during work hours on the set, as the crew reported detecting an alcohol odor on their breath.

As a lifestyle authority, I can’t help but shed light on recent rumors circulating in the entertainment industry. It’s said that an unidentified duo, known for their appearances, reportedly indulged in Class A substances. One of these individuals is also recognized for their fondness for alcohol consumption in social settings.

Last year’s event saw junior team members being tasked with monitoring senior colleagues, specifically looking for indications that they might have been consuming alcohol during working hours, as per the report in the publication.

According to a representative from the BBC, they have established procedures and guidelines for handling significant complaints brought to their attention.

Feel free to reach out to us anytime if you have any worries or questions. We prefer to address issues directly, but won’t offer additional comments in this particular situation.

Last month, a staffer also claimed they were offered cocaine by one of the show’s stars.

He stated that there was frequent drug usage on the show, and when he discovered a questionable bag of white powder, a nonchalant senior team member instructed him to put it on their desk. This occurrence was so routine that it didn’t even garner a raised eyebrow.

It’s also been said that the pair who used cocaine during the program have been given opportunities for professional assistance.

The upcoming season is stirring up more controversy for the already contentious TV series as it gears up for its 2025 broadcast.

In the recent set of events, Wynne Evans, aged 53, faced accusations of inappropriate conduct and had to express regret over a lewd comment he made during a public gathering. However, he contested that it wasn’t a sexual remark. Eventually, the BBC terminated his employment due to these incidents.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I find it essential to share insights about the dance world, especially when there’s an interesting development like the one that unfolded in the 2023 series. Amanda Abbington, at 51 years of age, unexpectedly departed the competition earlier than anticipated. Later on, she publicly accused her dancing partner, Giovanni Pernice, who is 34, of displaying behavior that was unnecessary, abusive, cruel, and downright mean.

Although most accusations against him were dismissed, an investigation did find credence in some of her claims related to verbal mistreatment and harassment.

In the very same year, ex-Love Island contestant Zara McDermott, aged 28, found herself deeply distressed due to an incident that occurred during a training session with Graziano Di Prima, who is 31. This distress was caused when he confessed to having kicked a documentary maker, which ultimately led to his dismissal from the project.
