On August 31st, the streamer personally shared the news via their social media platforms. Six years following its initial release on November 2019, “Blinding Lights” by The Weekend reached this milestone as the second single from his album After Hours.
By January 2024, “Blinding Lights” had achieved an impressive milestone of 4 billion streams on Spotify. Upon its debut, it claimed the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 for four consecutive weeks and made history as the first song to remain in the top 10 for a full year. Since then, it has been awarded the diamond certification by the RIAA.
