Following an unauthorized photo from the upcoming Clayface movie being posted online, speculation among fans is that another supervillain may make an appearance in the film. The image hints at a man with bandages on his head, causing some to suspect it could be Hush. However, this isn’t definitively confirmed yet.
Here’s why the man in the photo may not be Hush.
Is that Batman villain Hush in Clayface set photos?
In the forthcoming Clayface movie, James Gunn is preparing to delve deeper into the lesser-known realms of DC Comics, introducing a character who has made limited appearances in the past but now takes center stage for his own film. The role will be played by Tom Rhys Harries. For those unfamiliar, Clayface is a villain known for his pliable clay-based body and ability to transform shapes.
Over time, various iterations of the character Clayface have emerged, predominantly featuring in Batman comics. The story revolves around Matthew Hagen, an adventurer who stumbles upon enigmatic substances while on a hunt for treasures.
Peeking behind the curtains of the Clayface set, I stumbled upon a picture featuring a figure swathed in bandages, particularly around his head. This intriguing image has stirred speculation among fans that Hush, one more formidable adversary of Batman, could make an appearance in the series. However, upon careful examination, it appears that the individual in the photograph may not necessarily be Hush.
In the world of comics, Hush is characterized by a mask of bandages that hides his true identity. He typically dons a tactical suit beneath a lengthy trench coat, and he’s often armed with two pistols. Yet, the individual in this photograph seems to bear no resemblance to such a description.
In the picture, there’s a guy sporting bandages on his skull, yet his face is clear to see. This might hint that it’s actually Clayface under the disguise. Given Clayface’s ability to transform into different shapes, this could symbolize a stage in the narrative where he takes on someone else’s appearance.
Another possibility is that this portrayal might serve as a backstory, revealing events that occurred prior to him acquiring the Clayface abilities. Thus, viewers are offered a comprehensive glimpse into his past.
At present, there’s no update regarding Hush being involved in the upcoming Clayface film. This movie is set to be released in the year 2026.
