This week, it was disclosed that George Clooney had faced health issues in the past, as he withdrew from the Venice Film Festival due to a bout with sinusitis.
64-year-old actor had to miss the press conference for his latest film “Jay Kelly” on Thursday, as suggested by doctors due to the need for rest.
On Wednesday, George surprisingly ended his press event early for Noah Baumbach’s competitive film and subsequently missed a scheduled dinner with the movie’s team.
The conference moderator regrettably informed us that George Clooney won’t make it to the photocall due to a severe sinus infection. He’s expected to grace the red carpet tonight instead.
Adam Sandler remarked, “Even movie stars can fall ill,” and shortly after, Laura Dern said, “George is heartbroken to miss this event.
According to reports from The Hollywood Reporter, it appears that George began to feel ill on a Wednesday. They also mentioned that he was instructed to return home and rest before a demanding Thursday schedule, including the global debut of his movie.

On a bustling Thursday evening, the legendary figure from Hollywood graced the red carpet for his film premiere. The following day, Friday, both he and his beloved wife Amal, aged 47, were seen together.
During his recovery in an Italian city, George’s health issues have come to light – among them, a severe back injury that made him feel as if he was barely able to continue living.
During the filming of the action movie Syriana in 2005, George experienced an unfortunate incident when the chair he was seated on unexpectedly toppled over.
The fall caused a tear in his dura mater, a protective layer enveloping the spinal cord.
George disclosed that he experienced a constant leakage from his nose, spent several months heavily relying on painkillers, and even contemplated taking his life.
Previously, he shared with Rolling Stone that he felt so overwhelmed he thought, “I cannot go on living like this.” He recounted being in a hospital bed with an IV drip, immobilized, experiencing moments when it seemed like he was having a stroke.
Fortunately his condition was greatly improved after receiving treatment from a specialist.
2018 saw George meet with a terrifying motorcycle accident en route to a movie location in Sardinia, when his bike struck a vehicle.

As the ER star sped along at 75 miles per hour, an unexpected collision propelled him high into the air. Upon landing, he discovered that it appeared as though the impact had caused all of his teeth to be dislodged.
He vividly recounted: ‘I launched. I go head over heels. But I landed on my hands and knees.
As a die-hard fan, I must say, if you attempt this feat a hundred times, there’s a chance you might end up on your hands and knees, and that’s game over! Any other way it goes, you’ll find yourself shoe-less, just like I did.
George told GQ, “Upon landing, I thought my teeth had shattered due to the impact, but it turned out to be shards of glass from the windshield.
In 2020, George went under the knife for surgery on his neck, which was related to the accident.
Five years past, George found himself urgently admitted to the hospital due to a significant loss of weight that was part of his acting commitment for The Midnight Sky.

George experienced severe stomach discomfort, and medical professionals ultimately diagnosed him with pancreatitis, a potentially life-threatening condition if left untreated.
The actor, who had dropped a significant amount of weight (around 14 kg), spent several days in the hospital. It’s possible that losing weight so rapidly might have exacerbated his health issue.
He shared with The Mirror, “I believe I may have been overly eager to shed the excess pounds swiftly, which might have caused me to neglect my own well-being.
‘It took a few weeks to get better and as a director it’s not so easy because you need energy.’
On a Friday morning, George was accompanied by Amal as they departed from Venice earlier than usual, with cameras capturing their exit, due to George’s health concerns.
