911 star Lee Brennan has surprised fans by announcing a major career move – and it’s quite different to his 90s pop career

Nineties pop icon Lee Brennan has surprised fans by announcing a major career move.

Previously well-known for leading the band 911, this artist has disclosed that following an extensive phase of learning, he is now officially recognized as a ‘Transformational Life Coach’ certified in his field.

Lee, aged 51, shared a selfie on Instagram, proudly displaying his certificate while highlighting his recent accomplishment with a confident grip.

He titled the post: ‘Spent numerous evenings studying and consumed plenty of tea and coffee. My everlasting fascination lies in the workings of our minds, emotions, and thoughts. I’ve always yearned to comprehend my peculiar brain better.’

‘Life transforming coaching functions as a navigation aid to recalibrate your internal guidance system. I’m not a psychotherapist; this isn’t therapy or counseling, and I’m not here to mend you, as there is nothing inherently wrong with you!’

My role is to assist you in exploring your inner depths, challenging existing perspectives, and unlocking the hidden reserves of wisdom and fortitude within yourself.

The news brings joy to both fans and acquaintances, such as ex-S Club 7 vocalist Jo O’Meara and Steph Waring from Hollyoaks, who has since become a certified life coach. In response, she said, “Now you’re part of our group!

Lee shot to fame in 1995 when he teamed up with Jimmy Constable and Spike Dawbarn to form 911.

In just a few months, they embarked on a global tour and sold millions of records. Among their achievements was a string of ten UK Top 10 hits featuring tracks such as Bodyshakin’, Private Number, and a number one cover of A Little Bit More from 1999.

By the dawn of the new millennium, they had achieved massive success as one of Britain’s top-selling homegrown boy bands, having sold more than 10 million singles.

However, the trio called it quits in February 2000, saying they wanted to bow out on a high.

As Lee, who overcame Hodgkin’s lymphoma not once but twice in my childhood years, I found myself grappling with life when the thunderous applause of the crowd subsided.

He began exploring the world of acting, featuring in pantomimes such as Peter Pan and Cinderella, and also tried his hand at radio broadcasts.

In 2006, he tied the knot with Lindsay Armaou from popular band B*Witched, but their union dissolved after five years due to a divorce.

Lee began to focus on work outside of the spotlight during the Covid pandemic.

2021 saw me unveiling my new career path as a certified personal trainer and nutrition coach. Sharing this news on social media, I exclaimed, “Buckle up for an exhilarating journey ahead!

About a year afterward, he established an internet-based venture titled Mr Bodyshaper, which merged fitness and holistic wellness guidance.

Lee isn’t alone among ’90s celebrities who have made unexpected changes; Hannah Spearritt from S Club 7 switched her pop career for farm life in Costa Rica, and even Steph Waring, who was let go from her role, has also ventured down a different path.

Hollyoaks last year after nearly three decades, is also offering guidance as a life coach.

At present, Lee is in a relationship with Tobi-Jayne Cadbury, who is both a lawyer and a public speaker. They have been seen together at professional gatherings, such as the launch of the Boyzone documentary earlier in 2023.
