Married At First Sight producers eye off glamorous Sydney socialite who crashed her car after boozy lunch

A stylish resident of Sydney, known for her social circles, apparently drew the interest of the production team for Married At First Sight following an accident she caused while driving under the influence of alcohol, involving several parked vehicles.

54-year-old Vanessa Jacobs Fennell has been accused of several offenses, including resisting a breath test, attacking a police officer, and causing property damage, after a recent event.

However, it appeared that the approach from the creators of the popular Channel Nine show didn’t deter the attractive starlet – who had previously been considered for Real Housewives of Sydney – as they extended an invitation for her to revisit the world of reality TV fame, according to Confidential’s report on Saturday.

According to the report, Married at First Sight’s researchers were drawn to her appeal and charm on social media, reaching out to the socialite to gauge her potential interest.

Initial discussions seemed promising, as producers were drawn in by Vanessa’s captivating self-assurance.

As the discussions continued, it gradually became clear that Vanessa wasn’t well-suited for the demanding nature of the reality show.

Reason being, it was alleged that Vanessa’s expectations for her ideal partner were excessively high, which didn’t sit well with the producers; meanwhile, individuals close to her stated that she had no intention of joining a reality dating series such as Married at First Sight.

The source indicated that she possesses a charisma that brightens any space, yet she’s not the type to effortlessly fit into a television study. In fact, she tends to disregard established guidelines.

After concluding her romance with well-known Melbourne entrepreneur Nathan Sable, Vanessa, a mother of two, now finds herself single once more.

It is thought that they were in a romantic relationship, but their relationship seemed to grow cold approximately a few weeks prior to Valentine’s Day.

Prior to dating Nathan, Vanessa was previously wedded to Tom Fennell, a private equity banker, who by an interesting twist resides just beyond the distance of a thrown stone from the location where her car met with an accident.

Daily Mail  has reached out to Channel Nine for comment.

After the boozy lunch where Vanessa was involved in an accident, hitting several parked cars and reportedly attacking a police officer, these statements were made following the revelation of her consequences.

As I cruised along the tranquil streets of Bellevue Hill last Friday evening, I found myself unintentionally brushing against fate when my black SUV made contact with a stationary vehicle – an occurrence that happened around 7 pm on March 21st. This unexpected incident, although unsettling, serves as a timely reminder to always stay vigilant behind the wheel and maintain focus on the road ahead.

Footage from the arrest showed two officers frogmarching her from the scene.

In simpler terms, before the police arrested her, the socialite seemed to struggle a bit with an officer, attempting to break free her arm. At some point, it is alleged that she then struck the officer with a slap.

At the Waverley Police Station, Vanessa found herself facing charges for three different incidents: resisting a breath test, physically attacking a police officer, and committing acts of property damage.

On a Monday, Vanessa made an appearance at the Waverley Local Court. The court ruled that she must pay a fine totaling $1,300 and suspend her driving privileges for a period of six months, according to the Sydney Morning Herald.

As an ardent devotee putting it, I’d say I managed to dodge a formal conviction for my altercation with the officer, but I’m now under a one-year probationary order, so here’s hoping I can keep things peaceful and law-abiding!

She shared with the Daily Mail that she felt deeply sorry and regretful, yet she maintained her dignity. She also expressed the belief that every person ought to have the chance to err.

As a lifestyle expert, I’d rephrase that statement like so: Earlier this month, I found myself in a situation where my court date approached, but unexpectedly, my legal team put forth a request for my case to be handled under mental health considerations, thus postponing the sentencing.

On Monday, the presiding magistrate, Kirk Dailly, declined Vanessa’s plea for consideration of her mental health, which is often referred to as a section 14 application.

Previously, Vanessa’s legal representative informed the court that her client underwent immense stress near the end of last year, and she exhibited symptoms of dissociation. (Dissociation refers to a psychological process in which an individual disconnects from their thoughts, feelings, or identity.)

Previously, this high-society figure tragically lost two of her young kids and experienced a heartbreaking split just prior to the event that took place.

Additionally, her defense team argued that she, a mother of two, was recently given antidepressants just three days prior to the event. They suggested that this prescription might have enhanced her state of intoxication and caused unfavorable responses.

Vanessa typically took care to prevent driving under the influence, but due to the effects of her medication, she found herself confused, according to her legal representatives.
