Hana Cross, who previously dated Brooklyn Beckham, has cancelled a planned interview where she was expected to discuss her relationship with him and his family. She made this decision after receiving unkind and threatening messages.
Hana, age 27, was weighing options from at least two sources interested in hearing her experiences working with ‘Brand Beckham’.
She dated Brooklyn for almost a year, from 2018 to 2019, and was often seen at Victoria Beckham’s fashion shows, showcasing Victoria Beckham’s clothing.
She also attended family gatherings and was warmly welcomed by Gordon Ramsay and his family, who are good friends with the Beckhams.
She and Brooklyn divided their time between a private section of their family’s barn in the Cotswolds and the old staff housing at their London home in Holland Park.
Posh complimented Hana online, and Hana shared photos of Brooklyn’s sister, Harper, delivering her breakfast in bed – Nutella pancakes! She also affectionately called Cruz ‘little bro’.
However, privately, there were significant problems. These included a difficult and unhealthy relationship between her and Brooklyn, friction between her and Brooklyn’s family, and also issues within Brooklyn’s own family.
According to a source, Brooklyn always felt like an outsider in the family, and that would likely have defined her life. There were existing issues between her and other family members even years ago.
Hana considered sharing her story, but she received strong warnings from people in Brooklyn about keeping things private, so she decided against it.
As a longtime follower, I think the real story here could show that the issues between the Beckhams and Nicola Peltz aren’t simply down to David and Victoria not getting along with Brooklyn’s wife, like Brooklyn claimed in that very public Instagram post. It suggests there’s more to it than just personal feelings.
Most believe she’d claim the problems between her and the Beckhams, as well as with Brooklyn, started well before she met Nicola.
The breakup reportedly happened, in part, because Brooklyn wouldn’t make his girlfriend sign a confidentiality agreement, while his parents wanted him to.
She and Brooklyn likely connected through their work in fashion. He was starting out as a fashion photographer and had previously left Parsons School of Art in New York to pursue it.
She’d been a model for five years and got her big break by winning a contest held by the popular store New Look. After that, her career quickly took off, and she became friends with important people in the fashion world, like Edward Enninful, who was then the head of Vogue.
Before she became famous for her Brooklyn life, a Glamour magazine article praised her eyebrows, calling them possibly the best in the UK.
When she’s feeling down, she reminds herself of three things: she is loved, she enjoys her work, and she can always start fresh tomorrow. She uses this as a way to feel better.
She shared with the magazine that she lets her eyebrows grow naturally, preferring not to shape them. She also stated she has no plans to get lip fillers or any other cosmetic procedures.
People first noticed them together in December 2018 at a party following the British Fashion Awards. She then spent the Christmas and New Year holidays with the Beckham family.
In February 2019, Brooklyn and Hannah visited Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park along with Brooklyn’s cousin, Libby Adams.
They had a falling out in March after attending a Yungblud concert at the Camden Assembly in North London.
A witness said: ‘Brooklyn had sunk a few beers and ended up getting into a row with Hana.
‘It had been a bit of a wild night out and it got a bit messy.
Brooklyn became very angry and ran outside. Hana firmly scolded him, letting him know she disapproved of his behavior and heavy drinking.
On Valentine’s Day in 2019, Brooklyn and Hana took a trip to Paris.
Brooklyn posted a photo of him and Hana at the Eiffel Tower, calling himself the luckiest man in the world and expressing his love for her. Hana responded with a Valentine’s Day message, saying he makes her the happiest girl and sharing her love for him. The couple also attended Victoria’s fashion show.
She followed and interacted with the Beckhams on Instagram, along with the children of Gordon Ramsay and actress Liv Tyler, who was married to David Beckham’s close friend and business associate, Dave Gardner.
She went with the Beckham children – and their security – to Coachella.
Hana Cross shared in a 2019 interview with Tatler that she and Victoria Beckham are very close, saying they ‘talk about everything.’ That same year, Hana was the only person outside of Victoria’s family to attend her birthday celebration.
I remember back in April, there seemed to be a bit of a disagreement happening outside a restaurant. I felt so bad for Brooklyn’s brother, Romeo – he was only 16 at the time – and he just tried to help by putting a hand on the person’s shoulder to de-escalate things. He was just trying to be a good brother and calm everything down, it seemed.
A young couple adopted a Pomeranian puppy named Soho, but their relationship ended in July 2019 following disagreements at the Cannes Film Festival in May.
Victoria and David were reportedly very happy with the news, and had actually hinted months ago that he should break up with his partner.
Brooklyn reportedly had a fling with Rita Ora after they split.
Ms. Cross later released a song that seemed to be about the relationship. The lyrics included the lines: ‘I wish someone had warned me about your dishonesty – even though you hurt me, I still want to be with you.’
Following her breakup, she dated both Rafferty Law, Jude Law’s son, and Jack Whitehall. In 2023, she shared on Instagram that she’d been struggling with anxiety for several years and had found a place that helped her recover and grow, explaining that sometimes you need to pause and regroup before moving ahead.
Hana Mahmood was born in Leeds to Sarah Clamp, whose father was a salesman. Sarah was a shop manager when she married Khalid Mahmood in November 1994.
The wedding certificate shows Khalid, who was 37 and previously divorced, listed his job as owning a shop.
When they got married, he and Sarah lived in a small three-bedroom house in Leeds, which is now valued at around £91,000.
The family later relocated to Huddersfield, where their daughter, Hana, went to the private Mount School as a child.
The family, including her brother Haris, later relocated to Chipping Campden in Gloucestershire. She attended the local state school there from 2012 to 2016.
She left after GCSEs, it seems, to pursue her dreams of modelling stardom.
By her 21st birthday, Hana had become well-known enough to host a party for herself and her friends in a private room at Soho House.
