Genshin Impact Version 6.0 update brings long awaited Nod-Krai, new companions, and Fatui storyline twists

Story Highlights

  • Genshin Impact debuts Lauma, a 5-Star Dendro Catalyst user who introduces the brand-new Lunar-Bloom reaction!
  • Flins and Aino join the roster, bringing Lunar-Charged Electro strikes and the quirky duck-shaped “Knuckle Duckle” invention!
  • The Fatui plot thickens with Sandrone’s arrival as “Marionette” and Columbina’s return as the revered Moon Maiden of Nod-Krai!

The Genshin Impact Version 6.0 update, known as “Song of the Welkin Moon: Segue,” is set to arrive on September 10th, 2025. This significant update introduces Nod-Krai, a newly discovered northern region, which consists of three enchanting island territories.

In its moonlit vistas, steeped in the ancient power of Kuuvahki and entwined with the enigmatic Fatui, this expansion offers a captivating, eerie journey. It’s precisely the intriguing, lore-rich, and mechanically innovative shift I’ve been eagerly anticipating.

Introducing the new region Nod-Krai, and the new Archon Quest

I’m captivated by the unique personality of each Genshin region, and it feels like Nod-Krai stands out with its eerie and dreamlike quality. It’s not just about snowy landscapes under the moonlight or the ambiance; there’s an entirely different elemental system that sets it apart.

The energy source called Kuuvahki seems intriguing, particularly as it can morph into Kuuhenki and traverse the lunar pathways known as Moonlanes. If it’s anything like Fontaine’s underwater exploration, I anticipate the experience to be smooth, immersive, and slightly otherworldly.

I’m excited about the setup for the Archon Quest too! Working alongside Lauma against the Fatui, joining Flins to withstand the Wild Hunt, and meeting Columbina once more but this time as the esteemed Moon Maiden promises an intriguing blend of mystery, history, and character development that I’ve been eagerly anticipating.

Genshin Impact Version 6.0 Update: New playable characters and reruns

Lauma: 5-Star Dendro Catalyst

In simpler terms, I’m really looking forward to the new update because of Lauma, who joins us as Moonchanter. She’s the one introducing the fresh Lunar-Bloom reaction and showcasing a breathtaking half-deer transformation. Her Verdant Dew mechanic boosts damage related to Bloom, creating an even more intricate connection between nature and combat, a theme I really enjoy in Genshin Impact. Lauma seems to perfectly represent this bond.

Flins: 5-Star Electro Polearm

Flins dominates the battlefield with Lunar-Charged strikes, either dealing a crushing single blow or a rapid series of spear attacks. As a Lightkeeper, he maintains a strong connection to the enigmatic Wild Hunt, which gives him a sense of power and rich history. He seems destined to become an essential Electro unit, and I’m eagerly waiting to witness his abilities in action.

Aino: 4-Star Hydro Claymore

Aino embodies the genuine allure of Genshin. Her creations, such as the comical Knuckle Duckle combat device, add a touch of humor and ingenuity to the roster. What sets her apart is that she can be effortlessly recruited through the Archon Quests, making it accessible for everyone to try out her unique gameplay style. For me, she seems like an ideal way to explore Nod-Krai’s less serious side.

Re-runs and Chronicled Wish

The re-runs this time will be Nahida for the first phase and Yelan in the second phase.

Rewards and Big System Changes

In the latest update of Genshin Impact, there are significant alterations underway. Notably, character levels have been elevated to an impressive Level 100. Additionally, Masterless Stella Fortuna is going to enable us to surpass previous character caps. I’ve long been anticipating this development, and it seems like the ideal way to commemorate Genshin Impact’s 5th anniversary.

Combine that with a complimentary item of your preference (5-star rating), 1600 Primogems, 10 Intertwined Fates, along with those coveted Nod-Krai gadgets, and I must say, this is among the most generous update bundles we’ve ever encountered. Notable minor adjustments that catch the eye include the ability to preview artifact affixes, additional team slots, and new Battle Pass resources for farming. Although seemingly small, these changes make the progress much more manageable.

Final Thoughts

The Genshin Impact Version 6.0 update, known as “Nod-Krai,” is not just another region; it seems like a significant milestone for the game. It’s filled with Fatui drama, new elemental mechanics, an impressive roster of characters, and rewards fitting for an anniversary. In other words, Version 6.0, also called “Luna I,” looks set to be a memorable update.

Eagerly anticipating delving into Lauma’s tale, venturing through the mystical Moonlanes, and ultimately encountering Columbina in person. If Fontaine delved into depths and Natlan showcased fire’s intensity, then Nod-Krai seems to promise a journey filled with mystery, moonlit scenes, and concealed truths. To be honest, I’m all set for every captivating moment of it.
