There seems to be tension brewing between the hosts, Scott Cam and Karl Stefanovic, possibly due to the presence of Emma and Ben from Block on their respective shows.
This week, the fan-favourite season 21 couple revealed they were expecting their first child.
On Thursday, they subsequently made an appearance on Channel Nine’s Today show, where they engaged in a discussion about the major news with their co-hosts, Karl and Sarah Abo.
Following the warm congratulations from the hosts of Today, Karl playfully attempted to guess the name of Emma and Ben’s newborn son.
‘How’s little Karlos?’ Karl asked, which elicited laughter from the soon-to-be parents.
As a lifestyle enthusiast, I’d like to share some insights: Karl may encounter formidable resistance from The Block’s veteran host, given their established bond and lengthy tenure on the show.

Ben remarked that you might have a contest with Scotty over the name, but it didn’t appear to faze Karl.
‘Scotty can go jump, mate,’ he replied.
Somewhere else in the conversation, the expecting parents, anticipating the arrival of their first child within a month, mentioned finding it challenging to hide their exciting news from fellow actors and production team members.
Initially, Ben found it challenging,” he explained. “Occasionally, he’d find himself finishing Em’s drinks, which she was discretely faking consumption – in those instances, he was willing to step up and help.
Emma and Ben made the big announcement on Wednesday’s episode of The Block as well as on Instagram.
One snap showed the happy couple with giant grins on their faces as they held up a baby scan.
‘Our biggest reveal yet…Surprise! We’re having a baby,’ they captioned the post.
In the second slide, we saw the video of the proud-to-be parents announcing their pregnancy on The Block, and at the same time, they disclosed the sex of their newborn child.

Ben shared the exciting news, saying they learned they will be welcoming a baby boy into their family, leaving them both ecstatic with joy.
Ben then began to tear up as he spoke about the family’s exciting future.
‘You can sort of start to, I don’t know, imagine our life together. Feels good,’ he said.
‘Does it make you feel emotional?’ one of the producers could be heard asking off-camera.
‘Yeah, really emotional,’ he said, before wiping away his tears as Emma leaned in for a hug.
The couple captioned the post: ‘Our biggest reveal yet… Surprise! We’re having a baby!’
A multitude of friends, relatives, and past participants of the Channel Nine show expressed warm greetings towards the couple in their comments.
‘Big congrats guys,’ wrote season 17’s Kirsty and Jesse.

Season 16’s Jimmy and Tam chimed in: ‘So happy for you guys…’
Such joy for you both! You truly are a force to be reckoned with, Emma, managing so admirably during pregnancy. Last year’s champions, Maddy and Charlotte, expressed this sentiment thoughtfully in their message.
News outlets reported that Emma and Ben were rumored to have been chosen as the winners for the year 2025 in the Auction Day competition, according to various sources.
Based on information from a confidential source, it appears that Nine is offering special consideration to the high school sweethearts in hopes of securing their participation for season 21.
Nine has said these claims are ‘false’.
All Block auctions are overseen by real estate agents with licenses, who must adhere to all applicable laws and regulations set out in public auction guidelines, under the watchful eye of Consumer Affairs,” a representative stated to Daily Mail.
