93-year-old Floyd Levine, who had a long and versatile acting career that encompassed films like “The Hangover” and “Norbit,” as well as television shows such as “Melrose Place” and “Murder, She Wrote,” has passed away.
On Tuesday, via an Instagram post, Tracy Robbins shared that her father-in-law, the late Levine, passed away on Sunday. She mentioned that he was surrounded by family at the time, possibly longing for someone to fetch him a martini. Robbins, who is married to Levine’s son and former Paramount executive Brian Robbins, fondly remembered Levine as an exceptional father-in-law, grandfather, and overall joker.
In the 1970s, Levine debuted in the world of screens, participating in nearly a hundred different projects. Among his most recognized roles are those in films like “Dog Day Afternoon,” “Bloodbrothers,” “Super Fly,” and television series such as “Kojak,” “Starsky & Hutch,” “Baywatch,” and “Days of Our Lives.” Throughout his career, Levine frequently portrayed secondary characters, taking on roles such as police officers, detectives, tailors, doctors, and even a crime boss.

Hollywood Inc.
As a cinema devotee, I’ve been following the industry closely, and it’s been no secret that Jim Robbins has helmed Paramount Pictures since 2021. Recently, news broke about his departure, which comes as Skydance prepares to usher in a fresh film team – a new era for cinema enthusiasts like me to eagerly anticipate!
Originally a taxi driver in New York City, Levine additionally teamed up with his son on films featuring Eddie Murphy, such as “Norbit”, “Meet Dave” and “A Thousand Words”. Robbins, like his father, was drawn into the world of entertainment. He acted, directed, produced for many years before moving into executive roles. The two shared a career in acting, with appearances on “Archie Bunker’s Place” and “Head of the Class”, as well as collaborating on projects like “Good Burger”, “Kenan & Kel” and “Coach Carter”.
In her Instagram post, Tracy Robbins stated that Brian is remarkably similar to his twin, and whenever you gaze upon him, it brings back Floyd’s smile.
He expresses his gratitude to his loved ones in a shared video, saying, ‘You’ve made my life sweet, and I cherish each one of you deeply.’ If only he could, he’d embrace and kiss everyone. Sending you all my best wishes and continued strength.

Television
Adler’s extensive stage career transitioned into iconic television roles, including Herman ‘Hesh’ Rabkin in ‘The Sopranos’ and Howard Lyman in ‘The Good Wife.’
On Wednesday, Levine was peacefully buried. Besides Brian and Tracy Robbins, his surviving family members include daughter Sheryl, son Marc, and numerous grandchildren, as reported by the Hollywood Reporter. Regrettably, his beloved wife, Rochelle, passed away in May 2022 at the age of 85.
Tracy Robbins noted in her post that it’s comforting to imagine a divine audition where he arrived early, script at the ready. She’ll deeply miss him, but she believes he’s already bringing joy to the angels and reunited with his beloved wife Rochelle.
