At New York Comic-Con (NYCC), it was revealed that an actor who previously played the main character in one of Netflix’s Marvel series will be part of the cast for “Daredevil: Born Again” Season 2, sparking speculation about a possible unexpected appearance in the forthcoming MCU Disney+ show. Notably, Charlie Cox, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Jon Bernthal, and Vincent D’Onofrio were all featured in “Daredevil: Born Again” Season 1, marking their return to roles they previously held in Netflix’s Marvel productions.
As a devoted film enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that yours truly will be in for a Marvel-ous treat at this year’s New York Comic-Con! The event promises an impressive Marvel presence, particularly a panel titled “Marvel’s Next Act: A Sneak Peek into Marvel Television and Marvel Animation” which will shed light on the highly anticipated Disney+ shows from both departments. But here’s where it gets even more intriguing – rumor has it that some special guests are set to grace this panel! Fan-favorite stars like Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio, Deborah Ann Woll, Krysten Ritter, and Mike Colter have been confirmed to attend. So, brace yourselves fellow Marvel fans, as we delve into the future of our beloved universe alongside these talented actors!
The official NYCC account confirmed the cast lineup for Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, with all announced panel attendees set to appear, except Mike Colter. Despite his absence from the upcoming series, Colter played significant roles as Luke Cage in his own Netflix series and in the Defenders miniseries, both of which were also on Netflix.

Given that Colter is set to work with a troupe of actors for “Daredevil: Born Again” Season 2, speculations abound suggesting he might have a brief role in the upcoming season. Notably, Ritter, who previously played a significant part in the Marvel Netflix universe, has already been cast for Season 2.
As a die-hard fan here, I can’t help but get excited about the buzz surrounding Finn Jones potentially reprising his role as Colter in Iron Fist Season 2! The speculation only intensifies when you consider Colter’s upcoming appearance at NYCC. Though he hasn’t officially confirmed anything, his presence there certainly adds fuel to our hopes that he might be returning to the Marvel universe. Can’t wait to see what unfolds!
Additionally, it’s worth mentioning that the Marvel Television panel isn’t the sole NYCC event centered around Daredevil. On Sunday, October 12, 2025, from 1:15-2:15 p.m. ET, a different panel titled “Deconstructing Daredevil” is scheduled. This panel might not primarily focus on “Daredevil: Born Again,” but it’s anticipated to include an unexpected guest related to the Disney+ series.
The “Marvel Television and Marvel Animation” panel is scheduled for this coming Saturday, the 11th of October, 2025, between 1:30 PM and 2:30 PM Eastern Time.
Will Luke Cage Appear in Daredevil: Born Again?

Mike Colter’s appearance at the Marvel Television panel is quite intriguing given that the panel primarily discusses the future of Marvel on television. If it were a celebration of past projects, it wouldn’t be surprising. But since it’s about upcoming projects, his presence certainly stands out as significant and worth noting.
As a movie critic, I’d put it this way: Should Colter grace us with his presence in “Daredevil: Born Again,” we might not hear the official announcement until the last minute, much like Krysten Ritter’s casting. If Marvel is planning a surprise, then he likely won’t be part of the Comic-Con panel with the actors set to appear in the upcoming season. But that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t keep our eyes peeled for this talented actor’s potential involvement!
There’s a chance that Marvel might reveal Charlie Cox, who plays Daredevil, will be part of the Season 2 cast for “Daredevil: Born Again” during New York Comic-Con. Typically, Marvel Studios unveils casting news at San Diego Comic-Con, but it’s not unusual for such announcements to happen at NYCC as well.
Regardless of the situation, it appears that Colter will eventually become an official part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Luke Cage. It’s likely that fans will see Finn Jones portray Danny Rand at some point too, given that it seems like Marvel Studios is working towards reintroducing all the characters from Netflix’s Defenders series.
