What to Read Next

In a voiceover at the start of the trailer, Bean as the notorious Sheriff of Nottingham declares, “We’ve seized your territories and now reign supreme.” He continues ominously, “In a century, there won’t be a trace left of the Saxons. Your existence will be forgotten by all.

The authority of the Sheriff will soon face a trial. Arriving on the scene is Robin ‘Rob’ Hood, portrayed by Jack Patten from NCIS: Sydney, who becomes a troublesome adversary to the ruler due to his skill with the crossbow.

“We teach those who tread on us,” he declares, firing an arrow in vengeance.

The main ensemble features Lauren McQueen from ‘Hollyoaks’, who plays the role of Marian, the lover; Lydia Peckham portraying Priscilla of Nottingham; and Steven Waddington as the Earl of Huntingdon.

While playing this game, I find myself in awe as Connie Nielsen, known for her role as Lucilla in Gladiator, gracefully steps into the scene, embodying the lavishly golden- adorned Queen Eleanor of Aquitaine, adding an air of elegance to the unfolding events.

After the Norman conquest of England, a Saxon forester’s son named Rob and Marian, the daughter of a Norman nobleman, develop affection for each other and collaborate to champion fairness and independence.

In their roles, Rob becomes the chief among a group of rebellious lawbreakers, while Marian gains access to the court’s inner circle. Together, they collaborate to challenge the corrupt rulers and restore tranquility to the realm.

The upcoming MGM+ series is set to breathe fresh life into the timeless story, offering a contemporary spin with an emphasis on genuine portrayals and intricate character development.

In this new version, the heartwarming tale of Rob and Marian will be given prime focus. The production is characterized as an intelligent, grand, romantic journey.

The fresh trailer is generating enthusiasm among the fan base, as one spectator expressed: “It provides me another motivator for extending my membership.

New MGM+ subscribers who are Amazon Prime members can take advantage of a complimentary 7-day test drive. Once the trial concludes, regular monthly subscription costs will be £5.99.
