Star Wars enthusiasts who appreciate audiobooks are in for a treat! A new Star Wars audiobook titled “Star Wars: The Jaws of Jakku” is set to be released on October 9, as reported by Star Wars News.Net. Written by popular Star Wars author Cavan Scott, the audiobook offers an unexplored aspect of the world of Jakku that fans have yet to experience.
This audiobook continues Rey’s Jedi training between “The Last Jedi” and “The Rise of Skywalker”, providing insights into events bridging the two films, which fans will undoubtedly appreciate. However, things get complicated when Rey, Finn, and BB-8 become entangled in a girl’s quest to save her lost family on Jakku before they disappear forever. The story will also be told from this girl’s perspective, with Rey, Finn, and Poe taking supporting roles.
The audiobook will feature underworld tunnels beneath Jakku’s surface, carnivorous insects known as gnaw-jaws, and a cover by Jake Bartok showcasing a determined Rey with her lightsaber drawn and BB-8 by her side. The audiobook is narrated by Helen Sadler, who has lent her voice to numerous Star Wars animation projects, and it will run for approximately three hours and fifty-three minutes.
