At the 2025 Midwinter Ball on Wednesday, Tasmanian Senator Jacqui Lambie transformed her typical attire, donning a beautiful gown instead of her usual blazer.
In a striking display, an Australian politician caught everyone’s attention as she gracefully made her way down the steps in the Grand Hall of Parliament House.
She looked glamorous as she arrived at the event in a budget-friendly gown.
Jacqui dazzled in a dark green tulle strappy dress from Forever New, which retails for $199.95.
She adorned herself with black high-heeled shoes, a glittering gold handbag, a large floral necklace, and earrings that matched the necklace.
Jacqui completed her style by pulling back her brown hair into an elegant updo, with several tendrils softly framing her face.

Her decision to wear green could draw some attention, as it shares a strong resemblance with the colors of the newly established AFL team from her state.
Although she supports the team publicly, she’s also vocally opposed to the building of the new stadium.
When asked about potentially bidding for a ‘mystery flight and lunch’ with the Opposition Leader Sussan Ley at a charity auction, Senator Lambie promptly declined the offer.
‘Not particularly, no,’ was her characteristically blunt response.
But she showed more enthusiasm for a tennis match with the Prime Minister at the Lodge.
‘Sure, as long as there is a drinks cart, then not a problem,’ she said.
‘In all seriousness, I’m always excited when we can raise heaps of money for charity.’
Following Jacqui’s criticism of Donald Trump for being unwilling to meet with Prime Minister Anthony Albanese since his return to office last year, an event occurred only a few days later. Jacqui had referred to Trump as rather impolite for this reason.

In a recent article published by Nine Newspapers, former Attorney-General George Brandis stated that it was widely known among Washington insiders that the Australian Embassy had been unsuccessful in arranging a meeting between Albanese and President Trump.
If any other Australian prime minister were in the current situation, they’d likely be at the White House already. However, Albanese finds himself in a difficult position.
However, Senator Jacqui, who represents Tasmania independently, expressed a contrasting opinion when queried by Sarah Abo from Today about her agreement with Brandis’s evaluation.
On Monday, Jacqui expressed that things appear to have gone smoothly, as we managed to avoid an additional increase in tariffs, which turned out to be quite advantageous for us.
Perhaps, if Albo maintains his distance, the situation might persist. However, I must say, Trump’s actions are quite disrespectful in reality.
It appears that the current government is making every effort to arrange a meeting with him, but he seems uninterested. It’s actually an embarrassment for Trump, not Albanese.
‘Quite frankly, if he doesn’t want to meet you, then why push the envelope.’
As an ardent supporter, I find it disturbing and unjustifiable that the U.S., a country we consider our close ally, has imposed tariffs on us. This action is particularly disappointing given that Australia is investing billions for the AUKUS submarine agreement.

As a devoted admirer, let me express my genuine dismay, given the significant AUKUS agreement we’re part of. Frankly, it feels downright impolite! We’ve already forked over a hefty sum of $2 billion, yet not a single piece of hardware has been delivered to us. I can’t help but feel somewhat short-changed in this deal.
It feels awkward to praise or show excessive admiration towards someone excessively. It’s hard to understand why some people do this, but in my opinion, it doesn’t have a significant impact.
‘Regardless of your relationship with Trump, whether you are friends or not, if he chooses to take a stand, others will bear the consequences. This is how his decision-making process typically works.’
Albanese had been due to meet President Trump on the sidelines of the G7 summit in Canada in June.
However, the US President chose to depart from the gathering of international leaders prematurely to attend to the escalating situation in Iran.
