It ends with a snub! Blake Lively’s ice cold reaction to Taylor Swift’s engagement to Travis Kelce

On Tuesday, Taylor Swift announced her engagement to Travis Kelce, which was followed by an outpouring of congratulations from her high-profile friends in the entertainment world.

Supermodels Gigi Hadid and Cara Delevingne were among the first to show their support.

In simpler terms, even Karlie Kloss – who was once a friend – showed appreciation by liking a post on the singer’s Instagram account celebrating their proposal.

But one person was notably absent.

Blake Lively, Swift’s one-time BBF and to whose daughters Swift is godmother.

This year, the duo experienced a dramatic fallout in their long-standing friendship, as Taylor Swift found herself unintentionally involved in Blake Lively’s contentious legal dispute with actor Justin Baldoni.

A confidant discloses that Lively, aged 38, has come to terms with the fact that the relationship is on hold, if not permanently.

In late June, I learned through a trusted source that Taylor Swift has been seemingly unresponsive to Blake Lively’s persistent efforts to reconnect via texts, voicemails, and even emails, aiming to revive what they used to share.

Now, Lively has given up trying.

According to a confidential source, Blake hasn’t contacted anyone after the engagement announcement, and it appears he won’t. The source also mentioned that “this isn’t the right moment.

The source indicated that there seems to be little purpose in contacting now, as [Lively] currently has more important matters to attend to.

The actress seems to have stopped discussing Taylor altogether and finds it unbeneficial to ponder over hypotheticals regarding their past interactions.

Or alternatively,

Now, the actress appears to never mention Taylor in conversation, and she feels it’s not productive to dwell on what might have transpired between them.

The topic of Blake attending the wedding, which we’ve often discussed in the past, including what would occur, her potential participation, and how it would unfold – all these details are now absent. Instead, there’s only silence from her regarding her involvement in the ceremony. It seems clear that she won’t be partaking in the wedding, and I don’t believe she has any desire to discuss this matter further.

The Daily Mail has contacted representatives for Lively for comment.  

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I couldn’t help but notice the striking timing: Lively’s 38th birthday coincided with just one day before Swift’s much-anticipated announcement. Quite a week for both these outstanding individuals!

According to our information, Lively wasn’t preoccupied with Taylor’s engagement as she has plenty on her own plate to attend to.

Indeed, her legal battle with Baldoni shows little sign of cooling. 

On the day of Swift’s engagement, recently disclosed court papers revealed that Lively declared under oath in a previous deposition last month, she felt ‘petrified’ due to an alleged smear campaign led by Baldoni which had put her life at risk.

Baldoni denies her claims.
