Enthusiasts of the popular ’90s television series, Spin City, were in for a delightful surprise last weekend as two of its most prominent actors met up at the Fan Expo in Toronto.
63-year-old Heather Locklear recently shared a delightful moment on Instagram, posting a beaming photo alongside her old TV colleague, Michael J. Fox (age 64).
‘With one of my all time favorites,’ the actress gushed in the caption.
In a stunning floral summer dress, the former star from Dallas and Melrose Place captivated as she cozied up to Fox, who radiated youthfulness and placed a supportive arm around her.
In the realm of television, I found myself joining the cast of “Spin City” during its fourth season, portraying the sharp and strategic Caitlin Moore, a savvy campaign manager. My character worked alongside Fox’s, Mike Flaherty, who held the position of deputy mayor in the bustling city of New York. This marked our first collaboration on the show.
Following Fox’s announcement about his Parkinson’s diagnosis, she joined the series later on, and eventually chose to leave the show.

In the subsequent course of events, Charlie Sheen took over the role previously held by Fox, portraying Charlie Crawford. The sitcom concluded its run in May 2002, having completed six successful seasons with Sheen as part of the cast.
Fans were thrilled by the nostalgic reunion.
‘Michael J. Fox is all shades of fantastic. What a wonderful picture,’ one follower raved.
Another gushed, ‘Two legends!!!’ while someone else declared, ‘TV royalty both.’
‘Beautiful pic Heather. Two television icons,’ another fan added.
In December, Locklear shared insights about the true dynamics of working alongside the main stars of Spin City – Fox and Sheen – from behind the scenes.
During a panel at ’90s Con in Daytona Beach, Florida, she shared that she acted alongside Michael J. Fox and Charlie Sheen in the TV series ‘Spin City’.
‘They’re brilliant. They know how … one is fast talking and the other is slow.’

Locklear admitted the wildly different acting styles forced her to adjust on the fly.
I found it necessary to adjust to the pace at which Michael and Charlie work, as Michael works quite quickly compared to Charlie.” (or “Michael moves swiftly while Charlie works at a more leisurely pace.”)
The struggle was refining my timing. They can be themselves, while I found myself needing to be someone other than who I currently am.
Back in 2019, I myself revealed some behind-the-scenes insights to The New York Times about my journey on the beloved sitcom. I confessed that by the time I bid farewell, my personal fight with Parkinson’s was already taking a toll on me.
The star disclosed that he relied significantly on over-the-top facial expressions and slapstick humor, which he referred to as his “masterful acting style.
He confessed that he sometimes made funny facial expressions or showed surprise, much like a double take. Additionally, one factor that led him to leave ‘Spin City’ was feeling his facial expressions becoming less flexible and more rigid over time.
If you look at some recent episodes, you’ll notice that I often stabilized myself by leaning on a desk or the wall. After a while, it became too exhausting for me.
Despite the obstacles, Fox persisted in his acting career and didn’t completely abandon it – fans will be delighted to witness his comeback with an eagerly awaited part in the forthcoming season of Shrinking.

In more straightforward terms: Michael J. Fox, known for playing Marty McFly in Back to the Future, most recently appeared on screen when he took up his role as Louis Canning again in the 2020 spin-off series The Good Wife, titled The Good Fight.
In other news, after a brief hiatus, Fox is coming back for the third installment of the critically acclaimed Apple TV+ show Shrinking, where Jason Segel and Harrison Ford take center stage.
In addition to the existing cast, Jeff Daniels, Sherry Cola, and Isabella Gomez have been announced as new members. However, details about the characters that each of them will portray are still under wraps.
Enthusiastic followers flooded social media with expressions of joy, as they shared their excitement about the news, despite the star’s ongoing health issues.
One enthusiast couldn’t hide their delight more in a Reddit post, expressing endless respect and saying they’re thrilled to witness this person performing once more.
They mentioned that they value his efforts in raising awareness about Parkinson’s disease, as it affects someone in their family. They also admire how he integrates the disease into his acting performances. Excitedly, they look forward to seeing what he has planned for ‘Shrinking’.
‘Good for him! Excited to see him,’ wrote another.
