Sydney Sweeney’s Spider-Woman Gets New Look in New Madame Web Photos

As a cinephile, I’m thrilled to share that fresh images from the upcoming Sony Pictures Entertainment film “Madame Web,” set for release on Valentine’s Day 2024, have given us glimpses of previously unseen characters. Among these are Sydney Sweeney portraying Spider-Woman, Isabela Merced as Araña, and Celeste O’Connor in the role of Spider-Girl. However, despite an impressive ensemble that includes Dakota Johnson, this movie seems to have fallen short at the global box office.

New looks for Sydney Sweeney’s Spider-Woman and others in Madame Web revealed

Lately, a user on what was formerly known as Twitter shared fresh photos from the Madame Web movie, offering glimpses of Sydney Sweeney, Isabela Merced, and Celeste O’Connor’s characters in the film that hadn’t been seen before.

In the images shared by user NebsGoodTakes, the three characters were captured striking poses while dressed in their individual costumes. These fresh backstage shots drew appreciative comments from numerous fans.

Regarding Sweeney’s character design, a user commented, “I find myself quite fond of it overall, but I’m not too keen on the exaggerated, seemingly non-serious mask. It stands apart from the rest of her costume and fails to hide anything about her identity.

The written piece suggests that the outfits aren’t as terrible as they might seem, but they were mostly unseen. This can be rephrased as: “The outfits, while not particularly great, were mainly unobserved by us.

Conversely, another user expressed dissatisfaction with the Spider-Woman suit provided to Sweeney, stating, “Why not simply attach everything at the neck for Sydney’s sake… why is there a chin strap like that? The goggles on the other suits make sense. If you must have her eyes at that level, just give Sydney a full neck piece instead.

The movie Madame Web was released in February but didn’t perform well at the box office. It generated over $15 million on its opening weekend, but by the end of its run, it had only made around $100 million, according to Box Office Mojo’s report. Moreover, on Rotten Tomatoes, it debuted with a score of 14 percent, and currently has a 10 percent rating on the Tomatometer.
