In a Small Town’s Cozy Crime Drama, which was hailed as a “people’s choice” by Variety, has shared significant news about the cast for its upcoming season.
In the upcoming season, Rossif Sutherland and Kristin Kreuk are set to once again take on their characters, Karl Alberg (the former detective) and Cassandra Lee. They will be joined by a number of notable guest stars such as Camryn Manheim, Tyler Posey, Jamie Chung, Noah Reid, and Sara Canning.
In the second season, Karl’s area of responsibility broadens, leading him to handle a larger number of cases with diminished resources. He becomes involved in various investigations such as a corpse discovered at a local wedding between rival families, a double abduction that could be a cover-up for a more significant crime, a pop star’s troubling encounter with a stalker during their quiet getaway to Gibsons, and numerous other cases.

Through Deadline, renowned for his work on Law & Order, Manheim has been chosen to play the role of Jocelyn Tait – a character whose life is complicated by a bitter family feud. She finds herself in Gibsons, where a “Romeo and Juliet-like” wedding sets the stage for more drama.
In the meantime, the beloved character Stiles from Teen Wolf, Posey, is set to take on the role of a reformed partygoer with a secretive and ominous past. Conversely, Chung, who has recently graced our screens in Dexter: New Blood, will depict Lanni Soo, a high-ranking Deputy Prosecuting Attorney.

At present, the show enjoys a commendable score of 70% on Rotten Tomatoes. According to Variety, the show is delightfully predictable yet offers a hint of sharpness, making it an appealing and entertaining spectacle for everyone.
The AV Club noted that spending an hour with these actors is delightful, even if their intentions are straightforward. In fact, achieving such a pleasant experience is quite an accomplishment in itself.
The second season of “Murder in a Small Town” is set to debut on Fox in the United States on September 23rd. However, a release date for the UK has not been announced as of now.
