Geraldine Viswanathan has shared some insights regarding her potential role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, hinting at a possibility of portraying Songbird following the release of the film “Thunderbolts.

The Thunderbolts film, overseen by Jake Schreier, made its way to US cinemas in May this year. This action-packed production features Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier, Wyatt Russell as John Walker/U.S. Agent, Olga Kurylenko as Antonia Dreykov/Taskmaster, Lewis Pullman as Sentry, David Harbour as Alexi Shostakov/Red Guardian, Hannah John-Kamen as Ava Starr/Ghost, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine.

What did Geraldine Viswanathan say about being the MCU’s Songbird after Thunderbolts*?

In the Marvel Comics universe, Viswanathan plays Mel, an assistant to Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, who first appeared in the Thunderbolts team. Originally, this character, Melissa Gold, was known as Songbird – a villain-turned-hero. She was initially created by Mark Gruenwald, Ralph Macchio, and John Byrne.

Although Viswanathan’s character doesn’t don the Thunderbolts uniform, she expressed her enthusiasm for the opportunity to do so if the Marvel Cinematic Universe decides to go in that direction, as she shared during an exclusive interview with ComingSoon.
