Top Gun fans can rejoice as a brand new series has been unveiled by National Geographic.
The Next Generation will focus on a group of promising student pilots from the Navy and Marines Corps as they experience the toughest part of their fighter jet training. Their curriculum consists of rigorous air exercises and nerve-wracking takeoffs and landings on aircraft carriers.
Of course, members will engage in the franchise’s signature air combat, with each participant aiming to receive the coveted ‘golden wings’. This program boasts thrilling aerial scenes and is often referred to as the pinnacle of precision, resilience, and endurance under pressure.

The six-part documentary, featuring some of the creators behind the movie Top Gun: Maverick, is rumored to delve deeper than just the cockpit, offering glimpses into the “personal risks” and “costs” that each aspiring pilot must face, as shown in intimate, revealing scenes.
