- The Legend of Heroes: Gagharv Trilogy is a mobile port of the legendary JRPG series, faithfully reimagining three iconic titles.

In a recent update, it’s been announced that FOW Games will be taking down their classic JRPG title, The Legend of Heroes: Gagharv Trilogy, from Android and iOS stores in both the Global and Asia regions on September 25th. This series, created by Nihon Falcom and initially released on August 28, 2024, is a legendary one, comprised of three seminal games.
Despite efforts, the game will close after over a year of service
The “Legend of Heroes: Gagharv Trilogy” combines three legendary classics – “The Legend of Heroes III: Prophecy of the Moonlight Witch”, “The Legend of Heroes IV: A Tear of Vermillion”, and “The Legend of Heroes V: Song of the Ocean” – which have been thoughtfully adapted for mobile gamers.

In this game, you’ll embark on thrilling journeys with three protagonists as they traverse various continents, discover hidden treasures from the past, and amass more than a hundred distinct characters. Each character possesses unique abilities, enabling you to construct potent squads to conquer boss fights, raids, and missions. Additionally, you can team up with friends for cooperative combat.
Regrettably, Director Lee Jong-joo announced on the game’s official website that it will cease operation in both Global and Asia regions starting September 25. The reason given was that the sales scale in these regions and the overall efficiency of operations made it impossible to continue delivering a reliable service.
Players can continue playing on Korean servers after EOS
The team has decided to stop paid services on September 4th. However, you can keep playing the game until its end date. After that, any downloads, updates, or support will only be accessible through Korean app stores. Furthermore, your accounts will be duplicated and moved to the Korean region starting from September 4th.
Even after the service ends, you can continue updating the game if it’s already installed – just make sure not to uninstall it. Additionally, during the period from September 25 to October 31, you can request refunds for any unused Blue Garnet, time-limited premium products, and unclaimed packages.
It’s truly disheartening to witness a thriving port, steeped in history spanning over four decades, succumb within a year and a half. Although some enthusiasts initially appreciated the gameplay, numerous comments pointed out that it lost its charm over time, often expressed as “it eventually grew repetitive.” In fact, one player admitted to giving it a chance, even purchasing regular packs to show support, but ultimately felt “it didn’t live up to expectations.
