Niantic is planning to release an exciting update for Pokémon GO on October 15th, which aims to revamp the entire leveling system. This update intends to make the game more rewarding and engaging by rebalancing it. The new changes will push the level cap higher from 50 to 80, introducing fresh milestones, rewards, and a more seamless leveling process.

Pokémon GO is preparing to release a new update, filled with fun celebratory items like cosmetics, storage enhancements, and unique rewards. What’s more, some players may find that their level has automatically advanced due to their total XP earned, but no one will lose the levels they currently have.

Starting October 15th, I’m excited to share that Level-Up Research tasks will no longer be available for levels 41 to 50, making way for new research challenges between levels 71 and 80. If you’ve already advanced to level 70 or beyond, you might find yourself luckier when encountering other trainers as the chances of becoming Lucky Friends with them have increased!

In addition, anticipate receiving fresh incentives for advancing levels, such as additional storage spaces for Pokémon, items, and Gifts, plus new customization options starting from level 25. Moreover, certain users will be eligible for rewards tied to the specific levels you leap over due to prior earned experience.

Claim legacy rewards before October 15 and enjoy massive XP bonuses

You’ll get a unique medal marking your highest achieved level, together with special extras such as glasses, poses, boots, hats, and the Level 50 Jacket. This exclusive gear will be accessible from level 1 to level 50. However, please note that these legacy items will no longer be available after October 15th.

Terrific news! The “XP Celebration” event is active right now and runs until October 14th. This means you’ll get enhanced rewards, such as double XP from Nice, Great, and Excellent Throws, over 3,000 XP from winning raids, and over 3,000 XP from victorious Max Battles. These bonuses can be cumulative with other event benefits.

Additionally, there’s a unique opportunity called “Timed Research” opening up for players who are at level 5 and above. This special event offers you the exciting prospect of amassing over 7 million XP points. Furthermore, the game is modifying a Level-Up Research task previously set at level 47, which involved traveling 25 kilometers each week eight times. From now on, this challenge will only require completion twice for easier progression.
