Norman Reedus and Helena Christensen’s son Mingus ordered to avoid alleged assault victim

Mingus Reedus, the son of Norman Reedus and Helena Christensen, has been instructed to keep distance from his accused attacker.

In a report by the New York Post, it’s stated that a man aged 25, often referred to as a ‘nepo baby,’ is alleged to have attacked a woman. He is said to have hit her on the leg, grabbed her around the neck, and violently pushed her down onto the ground.

Now TMZ says that woman is seeking a court-ordered protection against the nepo baby.

In a report, an anonymous woman alleged to the police that Mingus gripped her neck firmly with both hands.

Or:
The complaint filed by the unidentified woman to the authorities claimed that Mingus exerted pressure on her neck using both of his hands forcefully.

Both versions aim to maintain the original meaning while making it more conversational and easier to understand.

As claimed by the prosecution, he additionally struck her right thigh with a clenched fist and shoved her down forcefully with both hands, causing noticeable bruises, reddening, and significant discomfort.

According to the police, Mingus placed a 911 call at approximately 8:40 am on a Saturday from an apartment on West 16th Street, reporting a woman who appeared to be taking pills and making threats about self-harm.

When officers arrived on the scene, the 33-year-old woman accused Mingus of assaulting her.

Authorities apprehended him, while the female companion was transported to Bellevue Hospital for an evaluation. Her current state has been reported as stable.

The photographs obtained by the Post depict a model exiting a building accompanied by police officers, who then put her into a patrol car.

After spending hours there, I finally stepped out of the 10th precinct with a hearty grin on my face, feeling like the cat that got the cream. But then, some friendly officers kindly guided me into a cozy police vehicle – a ride I was more than eager to take!

When making a quick appearance in public, a journalist inquired as to why Mingus had contacted the police. To this, he responded, “I didn’t.” (paraphrased)

When a reporter inquired about the actual events, he allegedly responded with a smile and a laugh, saying simply “No.

According to The Post’s report, Mingus described the incident as a “misunderstanding” prior to being confined in the vehicle by the police.

A woman who claimed to be his girlfriend also described the incident as a ‘misunderstanding.’

There’s some ambiguity about whether the woman who stated she was Mingus’ girlfriend could potentially be the same one he is accused of attacking.

This is not Norman and Helena’s son’s first run-in with the law.

In March 2022, he agreed to a plea bargain following accusations of assaulting a woman during the San Gennaro Festival in Little Italy, which took place in 2021. He is said to have struck her.

In that particular year, he received a sentence for five individual counseling sessions, which were private, due to his admission of guilt for a lesser offense related to disruptive behavior towards a woman.

Initially, he was charged with a misdemeanor for assault, but his lawyer, Isabelle Kirschner, shared with DailyMail.com that they managed to work out a deal with the District Attorney, resulting in the charge being reduced to disorderly conduct – a violation, as opposed to a more serious crime, within New York City.

Mingus has followed in his mother’s footsteps, becoming a fashion model.

In the Fall-Winter 2021-2022 edition of Vogue Hommes Paris, he shared the cover with Parker Van Noord.

In the year 1998, Norman and Helena started dating. A year later, they had a child together. Unfortunately, their prominent relationship ended in 2003, but following this, Norman began a new relationship with actress Diane Kruger.

Norman and Diane welcomed a daughter in 2018.  Mingus is Helena’s only child.
