AFL star Nick Holland and wife Rachel announce shock split after 16 years of marriage – labelling it a ‘restructure’

AFL star Nick Holland and his lawyer wife Rachel have split after 16 years of marriage.

In 2008, the ex-Hawks player and previous model got married in an extravagant ceremony at Crown Melbourne, but they parted ways prior to Christmas, as reported by the Herald Sun.

Upon being asked by the publication for a response, Rachel affirmed that the couple had indeed separated, referring to it as a “reorganization.

It is not known why the couple is divorcing.

Nick participated in nearly two hundred matches for the Australian Football League (AFL), serving as vice-captain for the Hawthorn Football Club from 1999 to 2003.

After working as a lawyer for a few years, Nick is now back at the club as a general manager.

The duo has not one but two kids, named Addie and Leo, who’ve made them quite recognizable figures in Melbourne’s social circles.

Rachel was last publicly snapped in December 2024 during a star-studded boat party. 

Previously appointed as the carnival ambassador, this individual was featured in several Instagram posts together with podcaster Jessie Roberts, fashion stylist Lana Wilkinson, and fellow WAG Bec Judd.

In August, news outlets highlighted that Bec had disclosed a substantial price for selling her property in Brighton.

Bec and Chris moved into the $7.3million mansion in December 2019.

Since then, they’ve carried out significant updates on the property, raising its worth, such as adding a new bedroom and recreational area.

In March 2018, the power duo initially bought a spacious home and began an extensive renovation project before settling in.

Once construction was finished, the area underwent a transformation into a lush entertainment haven, featuring faux rocks, a magnesium swimming pool, and an outdoor cooking station.

The opulent estate has also undergone enhancements such as switching the mansion’s apricot color scheme to a chic combination of greys and blacks, incorporating contemporary elements like sleek golden brass fixtures, marble and metallic doors.

The pair decided to preserve the distinctive architectural element of the house – the arches – and incorporated this design motif consistently across the home’s interior.

Also inside the home is a gym and wet bar, complete with a snooker table.
