Now, players can sign up in advance to potentially participate in the upcoming test phase following a year of doubts and setbacks.
The news about The Division Resurgence was shared in May 2021 as a free-to-play mobile game within the renowned Tom Clancy universe. It was designed to offer an open-world exploration of New York city, featuring both Player vs Environment (PvE) and Player vs Player (PvP) modes. The tactical gameplay found in the main series has been tailored for mobile play.

The original plan was for a worldwide debut in Fall 2023, but it encountered multiple setbacks. An announcement in September 2023 adjusted the release date to early 2024, and yet another delay in March 2024 pushed the target back to December 2024.
In July 2024, Ubisoft revealed that the releases of Rainbow Six Mobile and The Division Resurgence have been put on hold indefinitely, as they aim to polish gameplay and match the high standards set by the market. This move has sparked some worry regarding Ubisoft’s projected financial status for FY25.
With Ubisoft resuming test operations, it’s a positive sign for the project’s progress. Although an official launch date hasn’t been set yet, this testing period could provide players with a better understanding of what to expect in the near future.
For enthusiasts eagerly anticipating the opportunity to engage with and evaluate the game, this development offers a hopeful indication that the game’s production is progressing positively. The Return of The Division showcases robust potential for carving out a significant niche within the competitive landscape of mobile shooting games.
