Davina McCall reveals she will never marry again but is ‘always in the honeymoon period’ with partner Michael Douglas as she discusses their relationship

Davina McCall has shared that she won’t remarry, instead, she’s consistently enjoying a newlywed-like phase with her partner Michael Douglas.

The television host, aged 57, offering a glimpse into their current romance as they prepare for their upcoming dating program – having previously been married on two occasions.

For a number of years, Davina had a close friendship with the well-known hairstylist Michael, who is 47 years old. However, their romantic relationship didn’t start until after Davina officially divorced her ex-husband Matthew Robertson in April 2018.

For approximately 17 years, Davina was wedded to Matthew, sharing three beautiful children: Holly, Chester, and Tilly. However, before her union with Matthew, Davina was married to Andrew Leggett between the years of 1997 and 1999.

She told The Mirror, “Though we aren’t remarrying, we frequently embark on what resembles a honeymoon, minus the actual wedding ceremony. We still seem to be in our honeymoon phase, despite the passage of many years.

‘I couldn’t be more happy. And sometimes there’s an idea of, why change anything?’ 

As a devoted admirer, I can’t help but share the wisdom passed down to me by my beloved father – a man whose teachings continue to resonate deeply within me. He once told me that every prosperous relationship is built upon four cornerstones: friendship, attraction, trust, and respect. These foundational elements have guided me throughout my life and relationships, and I believe they hold the key to fostering strong, lasting connections.

She mentioned: “If any of those essentials are missing, love won’t thrive. I fully agree with him.” (Paraphrased)

She and Michael met when he styled her hair during her stint on Big Brother. 

Initially sharing many similarities, they remained close friends until they found themselves harboring romantic feelings towards one another.

In 2018, they made their romantic partnership public, and by January 2023, Michael had relocated to live with her.

Davina is right now gearing up for the upcoming launch of her seventh romantic reality series titled “Stranded on Honeymoon Island.

The program presents an innovative reality dating concept, where 12 single individuals struggling with love are paired up and get married instantly. Following the wedding ceremony, they embark on their honeymoons in a secluded tropical paradise.

In simple terms, Davina will be the host, helping the newlywed couples navigate through challenges as they experience the trials of their swift unions amidst a tropical paradise.

Speaking with The Sun, Davina shared that the series was particularly “sensual,” adding, “It’s important to maintain a balance, ensuring it doesn’t veer into explicit territory of soft-core television, but I will confirm there are couples who engage in intimate moments on screen.
